After reading all the praise about the 33% CAP from H9 I really want to get one but could only afford the kit right now. Ive been contemplating getting into IMAC and I'm ready to get another plane - I already have a H9 Edge, I was wondering if I should get a H9 80" Cap (Ialso have a ZDZ 40) or look ahead and spring now for the 33% cap (H9)?? I figure for the price of the BIGCAP I could get the 80" cap into the air right away, but It would take a while to get the 1/3 Cap in the air (Motor, Servos, etc). Since I have the Edge should I look at gettin the 1/3 Cap? (Chief still has some for $729) or just fly the Edge and get another bird when I progress?

You could keep on flying the edge as you save and buy what you can for the cap. Build as you have money. Once you get it flying you will see how it was worth it.

Go for the big one. I finally bit the bullet and bought one. I am still "collecting" parts for it. Need 6 more servos. I also had the 80 inch one. Real nice arf, but the 1/3 scale is sweet!

If you already have a bird in the 72-80" span, then you probably dont need another, there wont be a huge difference- But the 33-35% stuff opens a whole new ball game- I would start saving and fly the edge in competition for experience till then

I have to agree, save your money for the 33%.
If you field has the room, then go for it.
