Greetings all !

I'm new to the forums (and a Nitro semi-newbie) and I wanted to stop in and say Hi.
I bought a MT 3.0 rtr from a local hobbie shop about 1 gal of nitro ago, to bash around in the yard while my broken foot heals (with my wife helping) and I'll tell ya that's one tuff truck! I finally broke something yesterday at the local skatepark (LOL). I broke a lower A-Arm and bent the dogbone. it was a no-brainer and 100% my fault. I hit a post just right at full speed... but i think it was already stressed from the 1/2 pipe...

Anyhow ordering parts lastnight my wife talked me into giving her the repaired truck and me getting something a bit tuffer... LOL
Soooo, with her blessings I will have a new GST 7.7 comming in the mail in a few days !!! I cant Wait. already ordered me a rollcage for it too!

BTW, great forum, I look forward to chatting with you all.

Darkfire,
I picked it up off from ebay, found it new in the box while searching for my MT parts i needed.
keep up the good work, you'll have the money in no time. Heck, if you were close by I'd help ya earn it as I broke my foot receintly and can't mow it myself. I think that has alot to do with my wife being such a push over for the new truck, well that and it's almost my birthday

LOL thats great SOIL, I havent been there forever. A GST could have been mine right now if my RS4 would have sold online. The first time it did make 200 bucks but the guy didnt have the money And the other 2 times it just didnt make enough money to sell. So, I just need to mow some lawns, about 10 more, then ill have a GST. What Fuel should I run for it, possibly Top Fuel?

Well Fellas i just had to get in on this one!! My signature says everything, my wife is so very understanding about my bad habits. She always says "yes" when I "need" something and when I want something she asks "are you sure thats, what you want, no comprimises??" I do consider myself the luckest 40Yr kid in the world... I was building my Wheely King into a crawler and I just had to say "You Know I am Going To Have To Build A Super Class Crawler Next!" She Replied "Cool! Is There Anything You Need For It Today?? I'm Going Right By The Hobby Store" Now thats what I call a fantastic woman!!

So 7.7 I hope you didn't "Have" to break your foot to get another vehicle, but congratulations anyway!!! And Great Choice of Trucks!! Both Trucks!!!

7.7 I'm glad to see your getting a sweet truck. I wasn't to sure when I got mine if it was going to be what everyone said it was, i've been out of nitro for YEARS, but the GST is one killer truck. I'm just getting through my first gallon...about 2 runs left...and this truck is getting faster every tank it feels...said i wasn't going to jump this truck....that didn't last...i was getting 4 feet of air and 10 feet out off a pile of rocks with a 25-30 foot runway or so...truck get's out of it's own way for 16 pounds!! have fun this truck is great...

on a side note about the women....

My woman plays both sides of the field on this one...she wonders why I spent so much money on a toy...but see loves to see me having fun at the park as much as the kid. I haven't started breaking parts yet...so I think her mind will change after the parts start going...but that's her problem

I'm not able to talk this truck up enough, it is by far the coolest, fastest, most durable truck I've ever seen or actually owned!

You wouldn't guess it's 16-17lbs. by how it moves in any way, just when you pick it up

I've only got half a gallon through my motor so far but it just gets better and better with each tank.

In reply to the other "women" comments, I couldn't ask for a more understanding or supportive person, she doesn't like to see that much money spent in one day but now she understands where it went, after seeing it run for the first time her only response... "Holy S***!" and it's not even broken in yet, coming from someone who's grown up around the desert and seen real toys out there that says something, she's the best!

Any ways, good luck on the GST, and happy thrashing

Oh yes. It's time. After months of asking the question will I, won't I, I've finally grown a pair, done my research and allowed the little boy in me break free like a miniature hulk, grab my wallet and order a CEN GST 7.7 17 lbs of madness. And it feels so right. Of course I had last minute nerves, was this the right one for me? maybe I should consider a Losi 2...natural 'pre purchase' jitters. But no I stuck to the gameplan and committed to the CEN camp. From only ever having had a tiny 'Nikko' battery operated RC truck many years ago to the 7.7......it's a big jump for sure but with all the good feeling about this truck out there the choice was an easy even enjoyable one. So cheers for the emotional support. Hope to chat soon

Glad to hear it,

I actually bought mine from Ultimate Hobbies in Orange, CA. and later learning how much of a tool they are I now get all my glow plugs and fuel from my local Hobby People cause they know what they're talking about. However they don't carry any CEN products (yet) and are apparently under the impression CEN is Japan based only? Either way I cleared the air on that myth and explained how they're just down the street and parts are definitely readily available.

The funny thing was though a customer was there buying a Savage for one of his kids and he saw me plop my GST down on the counter and his jaw dropped, as he looked at the biggest truck they sold in that store there still in it's box and then back at my GST he was like "wow, that's big, does it go fast?" my reply, "oh yeah it sure does". I think he stood there staring for at least 5 minutes, not to mention every other person in the store was awe struck by the shear size/weight of it. I think everyone made at least one comment lol.

So all in all you won't be disappointed!

for those of you that are waiting for your truck to come or for the funds to build up...having second thoughts about the truck and parts wait...it's WORTH EVERY SECOND!!!

Everytime i'm at the park with my truck I get a bigger and bigger fan base...my front breaks are binding up....think my stopper moved from the air i was getting...slacking ...i was driving the truck back to my car found a 2" lip on the side of the bikepath...hit it with a little speed....let off the gas all the way right before the jump...forgot about the breaks ...the front wheels locked up and the truck did a front flip about 2 feet in the air and about 5 foot long, cleared the bike path...landed in the grass on all 4's and stalled LOL...she started on the first pull after that...ran fine all but the front breaks...after a gallon of fuel and that's the only problem i'm having...MAN I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!

on a side note...

I spend every last penny I had to get this truck....now the tranny in my dodge is going

that's life

btw....it was worth it
