if you get a wrinkle I would maybe take the iron to it after the windex has set overnight, windex and heat are not a good combo....but I think you'rll find the wrinkles are down to a minimum useing windex and very little heat....good luck and hunt me down if you got any questions...
Thanks Paully.........Gator

Gator!

That is one of the coolest things I've seen with monokote! Very good job with the instructions and pictures. I wish I had that type of artistic eye. I love the gray as "folds or wrinkles".... something I never would have thought of.

One question (other than, "can you re-cover all my planes?" So, you did not use a heat gun or iron on the main surfaces of the monokote pieces? Just the edges? And, how does it stick then?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike....The soap in the Windex makes it where you can smooth out the covering and not get any blisters. I assume it also acts as an adhesive....I dunno....it just works,,,the trim solvent around the edges at times will disolve so colors of monokote, not really bad but that is what I like to see when the solvent kinda melts the covering....G

Send me the wing and hundred and hundreds of dollars......naw its easyjust take it slow and I was in a rush and hurried some of the steps, for a 1st attempt, I'd put the gray on and let it sit over night then come back with the red & blue the next day ...good luck with the 4*...gator

Here is my first flag attempt. It took about 12 hours for the complete covering of the Saphir. It was done pretty much like Gator did his. The only difference is I cheated and used Corel Draw and my vinyl cutter to create the stars on the blue. Everything eles is hand cut.

Not gonna do it! Sorry, I have no time for anything but the basic covering job. (Just kidding!).

I love the grey wrinkles!
