I used to work very close to that area years ago. I live closer to down town.

Going through all my parts I was able to come up with a couple of excellent complete kits.
Also two complete kits with slight blemishes (one sold I think and will discount the other).
There is also one short kit with blemishes and only digital plans and manual (cheap).
May have a couple sets of CF spars if a scratch builder is interested. - .295 OD, .245 ID x 27 3/4" and 15 7/8" long. (Light and stiff arrow shafts)
Manual will remain available for download on my site and PDF plans are free if you ask.

I think the winglets would look good mounted in the area you have them. I would however probably glue a tap to the bottom, glue the front piece on and have the entire area above the airframe sheeting. The winglet area is less then the regular vertical fins and my delta has not been flight tested with less vertical fin area then the winglets are. 1/4" tri stock at the base would make them strong.

Keep going and you will have it in the air soon. It will be quick with that engine.

I used the winglets as they were shaped except I cut the tabs off the bottom. thougght the extra stability would be necessary for the torque the little electric produces. it torqued my bobcat very bad. can always cut em down later or sweep em a little.

I did get the belly glassed yesterday and the winglets hysol'd on. the wood part is complete and will be beefing it up and final sanding. working on it as best Ican. I really want to fly it.

Goose, I think your kit was before I included both the laser cut winglets and vertical fins. The winglets did not have the tab on the bottom and had more sweep. You should be able to sweep your vertical fins some with out any negative effects.

I really want you to fly it so stay after it when you can.

That looks great and your progress is quick. I really like the way you did the fuse and tank area Plus the vertical fins look really good there. I bet it will be as fast as it looks, with the right prop.

Shipping another one today. Still have a couple left. Minor blemish = save money.

A 9" prop works great on this airframe. Use what ever pitch makes your engine happy.

6 x 5.5 but turning it 30K. we will see. Actual specs are 28-2500Kv medusa on 6S A123, and it loads to about 65amps and 14 volts.

I got the tails mounted on the wings and glassed the belly. flying my jet tomorrow, sorry, its sexier. I will get there...

side note related to power:

I got the new power system on the nitro bobcat .25. its the new 36mm medusa 1600 kv with 8 A123 cells. turning an 8x6 apc.

it came on full at 73 amps and 18 volts loaded, but the wires get warm, and it settled in at 68 amps and 17 volts. I think my wiring isn't heavy enough, but it will have to do for the testing.

It has more static thrust I think, and about the same speed. testing it tomorrow.
