"That's right." he says.
"I already have an award from Georgia, and now I have one from Kentucky too. So you tell Ol Johnny, that if I have to go to Georgia to see him land on a centerline................
I'll MEET HIM IN CHURCH!!!!"
Good night all..........I'm off to bed early for a change.

Wow, that is freakishly wierd that the two awards are the same base design. What's cool is that the TopGun award has an F-16 on it. Looks like all the B'mans' cards fell in place. Go git some George! Johnny better watch his ruskie tail

More pics from the Marcelino J. Irwin archives.
Bryce, You are truly blessed to have a grandfather of this man's character. Being able to hear his stories is something you will be able to treasure for a lifetime. I know your very proud of your grandfarther, as well I'm sure he is very proud of you. It's a shame that he and all blacks that served and contributed to our nation were excluded in most part from the History books....at least in my school days. It's nice that this group of fine gentleman are finally getting the recognition they so richly deserve.

This is to express my personal gratitude to the buddies that helped to make Ky Jets a very successful event for the hog and myself. Without out their hands on assistance we could not have got er done!!! Please note Jerry Thomas's beautiful hard wood hog replica that he gave me. The SKS duo Scott & Scott were most gracious to video the hog and solicit an interview. Russel, Mike Kirby, John Roth, Lewis, John Ligons & Robert Underwood were always a moment away to lend a hand. Takes several to replace Jimbo and Hawkeye, huh? Also thanks to the many photos provided by Gevi, Monk, Searles, etc. etc.......CU @

We have added another sponsor to an already impressive list. Xtreme Power Systems donated three systems to Kentucky Jets, and their name will be added to the banner for next year. Thanks to our many sponsors, Kentucky Jets has established itself as one of the premier events in the country.

Just now having the time to post any pictures of Kentucky Jets. The event was very successful, and we are already planning for next year. Here are a few that I had time to take.
1. Eric Meyers after one of many flights. 2. Eric Clapp and Sylvester Hale under the big top. 3. William preparing the F-16 for another flight. 4. Cooperate hangar made available to us for storage. 5. View of the Taxiway...plenty of room for everyone. 6. Ron Ballard's beautiful turboprop that flew great. (Marcelino Erwin Photo) 7. Opening ceremonies 8. The pedometer registeres 38.587 miles for the five days I was there. Thanks for finally getting the cart. 9. Paul Blanchard with another greaser on the F-104 (Marceling Erwin Photo) 10. Paul showing off again. Way to go paul. (Marcelino Erwin Photo) 11. Mrs. Hughes, Patton, and Clapp having a good time. 12. Ky Jets Logo designed by none other than the Ghost himself.
That's all I had time to take, but others will post more later.
