Patty and I had a great time at Kentucky Jets. We were there from Wed. thru Sun. which gave us plenty of time for flying and socializing (with socializing being Patty's favorite pass time. I think she may have talked to everyone there ). In between the flying and socializing, we managed to take a few pics that we'd like to share. We'd also like to say congradulations to Jim and Cheryl who tied the knot on Saturday;you guys really had us fooled. I'd also like to thank Lewis and everyone involved for bringing us Kentucky Jets. I'm sure that with all the feedback these guys have been getting, next year will be even better.

Paul

Patrick is quite the perfectionist. He always pays close attention to every little detail when it comes to his planes. I guess thats why his flights are always superb.

Simple question……. DO YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A TURBINE WAIVER? YES OR NO? If yes, why not scan and post a copy of it then I will withdraw my statements. If not tell the rest of RCU how you lied to AMA that you flew while you did not even fly any turbine powered airplane for more than 2 years.

BTW, my turbine flying count for a week surpasses your total turbine flying count for 2 years

How did you register your turbine at KY Jets when you do not currently posses a turbine waiver?

I only made a verifiable statement of fact and that is not flaming. Get your facts together, and for the first time in your life, own up to your mistakes.

I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the "Kentucky Gentlemen" full scale pilots who willingly & generously shared their airport and their airspace for 4 days with 65 guys who wanted to fly their toy airplanes!

Each & everyone of those full scale pilots who arrived or departed Lebanon-Springfield during the event, did so after some sort of deviation in their landing pattern or delay in their departure to allow our pilots to land safely and clear the runway. Each of them, to a man, gave us a friendly wave & smile as they taxied by or a wing waggle as they departed. NOT ONE COMPLAINT!

Lewis is to be commended for fostering and maintaining this incredible working relationship, which allowed us to utilize this wonderful flying facility. I saw many of our aircraft which had landing rollouts far in excess of 600-700 ft down the runway, and yet were able to recover their planes by taxing back or going to get them, with no damage to their aircraft. At any other model field this would have had disastrous results.

While flying we had NO altitude restrictions, NO area restrictions. We were free to fly our planes to their maximum capability with very little interference. Save for the one incident with the corporate Gulfstream pilot who came in with little on no warning - we received nothing but cooperation and hospitality from the full scale community at Lebanon-Springfield! Even the Gulfstream, on departure, held short on the taxi way for a full 10 minutes for us to clear before he taxied out to takeoff. Have any idea how much fuel he burned during that time?

THEY DESERVE OUR THANKS!!!!

It seems somewhat absurd, if not "stupid", not to recognise this fact. ONE complaint from these Gentlemen to the FAA could have shut us down. Coming from CA, where in the last few years we turbine pilots have lost access to 3 or 4 airfields, including one that came as a direct result of ONE complaint by ONE full scale pilot, to the FAA! This person flew too close to a scheduled turbine event, at an AMA certified r/c flying field, felt he was endangered, and within 1 week the field was closed by the local county government. Though the field later reopened, turbines have been permanently banned.

I felt priviledged to fly at such a wonderful Venue! I WILL BE BACK!!!

Okay, that's my soapbox speech, now on to more pictures of the Great time had! LOTS MORE TO COME

Nothing in your statement is verifiable fact, my x friend. Quote from you <BTW, my turbine flying count for a week surpasses your total turbine flying count for 2 years > Unquote........................Who cares???????????????????

Talk about liars....................your Quote <If not tell the rest of RCU how you lied to AMA that you flew while you did not even fly any turbine powered airplane for more than 2 years. UnQuote.> That statment is a bald faced lie, You witnessed several of my flights last year, YOU EVEN SIGNED MY LOG BOOK, AS A WITNESS. Yes, I let some of my turbine flights lapse, FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS WHEN MY MOTHER WAS SICK AND DIED IN 2004) As I stated before, I sent them copies of my log book, with signed witnesses, lets see yours?
Can anyone say back stabber????

To everyone in attendance at Ky Jets,

Cheryl and I would like to take this opportunity to THANK everyone involved in making our wedding day truly UNFORGETABLE. We NEVER expected to receive the outpouring of support that we received. Every time we turned around someone was offering to help do whatever they could to help make things go as smoothly as possible. We are truly HONORED and BLESSED to have you as friends. There were a few people involved in the wedding from the beginning that most people are not aware of so we would like to make sure that everyone is aware of their help. Chris Hamilton and the LTCC were a tremendous help in arranging the Magistrate and also with the marriage license. Lewis did the scheduling of the wedding, John Ligons gave the bride away, Dave Murray was the Best Man, & Eric Clapp was the Matron/Man of Honor(Sorry Eric, had to throw that one in for Anita.) The local magistrate was John Arthur Elder III.

We also need to THANK the following people:
Patrick Frost and his WONDERFUL family for the use of his RV and for helping Cheryl get ready.
Jeff Holsinger for the use of his RV so that I could get ready.
Patty and everyone else who took pictures. This list is so long and we are not sure exactly who all was taking pictures.

We would also like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of the pilots for allowing us to steal a few minutes of your flight time to get married. We tried to keep it as short as possible so that everyone could get back in the air as soon as possible. After all, we wanted to get back to flying the Tango.

THANK YOU !!!!
Jim and Cheryl

I would like to thank all participants for a fantastic event. The most and surprising fact is that not a single AMA RULE WAS VIOLATED. Pilots are to be congratulated for their excellent and cautious flying. We have at Kentucky Jets, the safest and most accomodating facility anyone could ever hope for. There wasn't a single instance of DANGEROUS FLYING. So you see, it can be done. Gentelmen...we are all... PROUD OF YOU. The results are as follows.

Award---------------------- Sponsorer---------------Winner------------------------Aircraft
