Aussie Pilot,

Can't think of any ARF Lancasters I'm afraid - however if your dad is a good pilot and likes large models there are plans for a 17ft winspan Lanc by Tony Nijhuis that has been adapted by Falcon Aviation into a quick assembly laser Cut kit that almost snaps together.

See the url's below for more info.

Otherwise there are 1 or 2 smaller plans but can't think of many kits - aerotech in the UK used to do a small one but it wasn't particularly scale and I don't think they are in business anymore.

Good luck

VBR

Jason

Hey Aussie Pilot,

RCM&E maganize have plans and also CNC plywood and clear parts for 2 differect sized lanc's. they have all been designed by Tony Nijhuis and are in effect scaled up or down versions of the same. I have the plans and clear vac canopies for the 11ft Lanc here at home waiting for me to get round to building it and having a car big enough to transport it to the field! the fuse is about 2m long on it's own and thats with removeable wings and tailplane assembly

The other size they have is a 72" span model designed for electrics. It has resently had a redesign for a more scael outline etc...

there is also a mob called greenair designs how do a relativly small elec lanc, and the other mob i know of is priory and they do a similarly sized lanc to the RCM&E but it's more of a kit. there is some good threads on the two different types around especially on rcgroups.

thanks

dave

I have a thread going of the 72" V1 build here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3322308/tm.htm. It's not a hard build so far. I would recommend strip planking over the suggested method. Seems a lot more likely to produce a straight fuse.

Scott.
