Hello,

I have a 5955 that I'm using on my rudder that seems to have a worn center point. I have been looking all over a replacement gear set for this servo and it seems that they are not available yet in titanium.

On Hi-Tec's site, it offers the following parts: 55301, 55302, and 55014 as replacments but I don't believe these are Titanium.

Is there a place to obtain the titanium gear sets yet?

Thanks,

Brad

Hello,

How long have you had the servo installed? We have not seen any wear out of the TG servos.

Also all the part numbers that you provide were for different servos.

Hello,

Thanks for the note. I bought the plane and servo used. I would say the plane had at least 100 or so flights on it before I acquired it. I've put 85 flights on the plane so far myself.

When the servo comes back to center coming from the right hand side...at a high speed, such as using it on high rates, the servo is a little off center.

Could this be a matter of the case..or what else could cause this other than worn gears?

Sorry to butt in here....but could it just be the deadband adjustment? Perhaps the servo simply needs re-programmed. Why not find a friend with a programmer to check it out, or send it in to Hitec and let them have a look?

Good call...that was actually my next plan of attack. I have a friend that has the Hi-Tec programmer and I was going to give that a shot as well. I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks!

Some folks often program these servos with a wider deadband, when ganged with other servos on the same surface, to avoid two or more strong servos fighting eachother. Perhaps the previous owner had done some programming on the servo for a similar purpose. Good luck, and I will butt out now. sorry Hitec folks!!!

Hello,

If adjusting the deadband doesnt work. Send the servo in for service and we'll check it out for you.
