Due to circumstances I won't get into now, I have two YS 110s, one older version and one newer 110 S, neither fully broken in as both were run for the first time last month.
The only airplane either has been installed in was a Goldberg Edge 540. I think that would have been a good airplane for the 110.
Now a pause for my public service announcement. Within 2 minutes of the maiden flight the Goldberg Edge broke apart in flight from straight and level and about 2/3 throttle due to faulty hardware. Goldberg will not make good on it, so any airplane by Goldberg is out. Warning, replace all the kit hardware if you get a Goldberg Edge 540.

unpause; So I have two YS 110s and no airplane to put them in. I have been searching the internet and RC Universe for weeks to get ideas. I have found a lot of airplanes I would like to try, but most of the airplanes I like are either a bit too large or too small for the 110. So I am asking for you, the RCuniverse members for help.
What is your favorite airplane to fly with a YS110?
It would help if you have flown your suggested airplane with a YS110.
Hopefully you can verify some of the airplanes I have been looking at, or give me some new ideas.
After all, Two new YS110s sitting on a table is almost a sin.

Thanks
Roy

A Great Planes Venus II is a perfect match for the YS 1.10. I would think that the World Models Groovy 90 would match up very well, also.

Kit or ARF???

The Great Planes Skybolt KIT is ideal for a YS 110 - It would be almost overkill on the ARF (Which is about 2 pounds lighter)

RoyR,

I'm flying a World Models Extra 330S weighing 8.75 lbs. Flys like a dream with power to spare. You'll have a kick with this combo.

Suitcase has been flying a Sig Mayhem with a 1.10 on it for about a year. Its a great combo with a 16x6. Its a good quality ARF with good construction and good hardware. It also has good flying traits , excelent slow speed almost no coupling in KE. He also has a 110 in a Jerry's Big Boy which is an 80 inch Ultra Stick type model. It flys it great.

Myself i would have to vote for the Venus II excellent combo.

But The Great Planes Skybolt would just look cool. Haven't seen anyone flying the Skybolt but i would have to agree awesome looking plane.
