I flew my AJ Extra for the first time yesterday. It lives up to it's hype. It really flies like a much bigger plane. It was cold (about 35 F) but I got about 7-8 minute flights on a 3 cell 2500 pack. Can't wait to fly it agian. I plan to keep this one in the car and fly it at lunch time!

I don't know much about electic set ups (I usually just buy what I see recommended by others) but I think you need to run a separate BEC when you use anything over a 3 cell pack.
I'm sure someone with more insight will chime in soon.

Taildragger, Thanks for the reply, Have read some forum info that advises to use bec with this and other ESCs. ---Going 4S---Thanks
Papa Jeff, Thanks for the reply, (I assume you have been laying low, the paparazzi must have left you alone, have not seen you in any magazines lately)
Lately I've been "on the edge!" I do a little indoor flying, but for this past month I've been building cabinets for my Grandkids playroom and painting the kitchen for my wife, THE BOSS. I should be finished this week and then it's back to my RC projects with a great deal of vigor! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh................Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!

Roger,
Usually, I am the Paparazzi as you can see in the attached photo, but I think that my Pal, Thayer Syme, turned the tables on me at the NEAT event. No wonder they keep me behind the camera.......with a mug like mine, someone might think that I have escaped from the HOME! As a matter of fact, usually they only let me out of the HOME to go to my Shock Therapy sessions!
The reason I ask is we are going to be having a huge indoor fun fly down this way in a dome outside of Williamsport Pa in October. Since you are from NY state, I figure I'd it might be something you'd be interested in. This fun-fly (Keystone Indoor Electric Fly....KIEF) was supposed to take place in a dome near Scranton, but the Valentine's day storm last Feb ruined it. The new dome/location is even larger and set up better for vendors and pit area.
If you're interested, let me know and I'll send you updates as we finalize the specifics.
Thanks.....Mark

Mark,
Hey, for sure keep me informed and I will tell the guys at my club (RCCR) about it. We may have a bunch that would like to take a road trip to PA next Oct. A bunch of us were in Tittusville last Oct. flying Jets at a great little Airport with some super guys from the Oil City Flyers club. We had a ball!

Will do Jeff. We have the contract going to the dome owners today or tomorrow so once that's finalized, then we can start promoting the event with the set date.

update on above. Put in some more flights, motor and controller stay cool, must be allright.
Today I started building my own. Must say I am really positively surprised by the quality of the kit. Really good and so well engineered! A big thank you to Andrew Jessky and Fliton!
