I notice after making a high speed pass and power sliding, It is slamming back into 1st gear before take off. It chipped a tooth off the 1st gear and did it several times. I checked for loose bearing , and also pinion lines up good with gears. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The gears work on momentum. If it slows down it changes down it doesnt make a differnece how high you rev it.

Called schumacher in FL today and they told me that i was running my engine too lean and engine temp was causing the bell to almost melt the plastic gears. I appreciate your help str33t rac3r , you were the only one who chimed in, thanks !

Well schumacher have lied to you.

If the truck slows down the gears change down. It has nothing to do with your engine being lean.

........................Groundman I had a similar problem on my Wolf Fusion my was caused by a slightly bent tranny shaft. But after reading your comments I am starting to wonder if the plastic they used to mold the gears is the problem?? Looking at the gears compared to 1/8 scale gears they don't look very beefy. I hope that Schumacher comes out with stronger gears.

Nitrohead , I went a bit richer and menace runs like a champ. I have been busy with homebuilding and havent had time to run the menace. Last time i ran it the humidity was low and temp was cooler. I live south of New Orleans and in summer we have 80-100% humidity so this makes a 2-stroke very finicky. I totally agree with you , we need an upgraded gear system.
