Merry Xmas guys, hope everyone has a safe and happy Xmas and New Year.Thought I had done all the present shopping on Saturday, but just heard on the radio that buying the missus a kitchen appliance was somewhat frowned apon.....bugger.
Will have to go find another pressie I think, wonder if she wants a Katana MD or an Addiction... maybe not I think.
The wind is dropping though I think...maybe I can sneak in a quick flight.
Have a great day tomorrow lads.
Cheers,
Bleary.

I'm going to the dentist this morning to have a tooth pulled out and I'm not happy. I was thinking that if I jumped off the roof and broke my ankle they could pull the tooth under general anesthetic while they set my ankle. Then there is a possibility that I could pass out at the dentist with fear and they could whip the tooth out then......but you can't trust dentists though .....they must be a special sadistic type of person I'm positive.
Mike eaton my dentist I know outside work.....and that allows me to abuse him when he hurts me in the chair........he gunna cope it this morning.....I think that's why he scheduled me for this morning when he is actually closed.
He just rang to confirm I was coming and told me on the phone that he's scheduled to do my extraction behind closed doors so he can hide the body if he screws up. .......then he said Don't be late!

Maybe I'll get the ladder and go up on the roof.

No flying this morning .......thumbs are shakey.

Mate,

You should go to my dentist... he's really good - name's Phil McCavity

Hope it all went well....

Tam - The motor was an EMAX motor. I think it is the same as an EWATTS and I have a few of them laying about... might see after the fat man arrives.

ALSO BOYS...

Does anyone know what the difference if any there is between the DX7 HELI and the DX7 PLANE radios. I have read that the only difference is the labes on the switches and the flap switch on the PLANE model has 3 settings instead of 2.

Is there anything else?? The guy I got mine from told me that the only MODE 2 ones available at the minute is the HELI - which is what I have. I have been through the book and it all seems OK. Any help is good.

Cheers
-J

John,

I believe they are basically the same apart from the labels on some switches....

Have a great Christmas!

And let me guess Crawf - your proctologist's name is Phil McCrakin.

Just back from Sydney and Christmas 1. Christmas 2 tomorrow.

John - glad to hear the P51 flew so well for you - sorry about the landing - tricky ****s warbirds. I'm just back from Sydney - let me know when you are back and we can try and hook up again.

Machette - good luck at the Dentist mate...

Tam - about to go watch the Tattoo - hope you are holding up a sign for us...

To everyone here at the BBQ - all the best for tomorrow and the next few days. I'm not expecting any RC stuff for christmas, but if it comes along - you'll be the first to know.

Cheers,
Oz.

Well, I went out and bought myself a little $29 Logitech webcam today - big spender I am, I know

Anyhow, had to battle with it a bit under Ubuntu but it seems to be okay "okayish" now, some more driver tweaks probably wouldn't go astray but for now at least I can see the image (though it's 1/4 the size I wanted, I wanted 640x480 -native- but it's only 352x288 and grainy at that too.

Fortunately, it's started to rain here - and it looks like a good long soaking sort of rain which is GREAT.

Paul.
