I just bought a new 39" Wingspan Katana EP from Ebay. I will post a few pictures. It is still in the plastic wrap, but looks like a decent plane. It was packaged very well. The instructions are lacking. I plan to build it with the powerplant salvaged from my Great Planes Reactor. My reactor got stuck in a tree and the water bottle wrecked it getting the plane down.

My setup will be:

GP Rimfire 35-30-950 Brushless Outrunner
GP Silver Series 25A ESC
Futaba 3103 and 3110 servos
Electon 6 Rx
Thunder Power 2100 3s lipo

I could save some weight with a 1320 pack, but I have the 2100's.

It's been a while but how's this plane doing? I have been looking at one myself.

I just finished assembling mine, the only problem I had was the fit of the cowl and lower piece were off a little and the aileron hinge slots were terrible. I just cut new hinge slots for most of the hinges. The plane actually seems to be built quite well. I will post some pictures later.

Any updates I just bought one of these also.

I was trying to fly mine this weekend and the gear pulled out before it could get airborn. I had gone over all the joints with glue but did not reinforce anything so if you are just building it I would do a little work on the gear plate. It only rolled a couple of feet before the gear folded on fresh cut grass.

Please continue, I am putting mine together as my first balsa as I write this. Please update.......

Flew the Katana today. Flew great, was a little nose heavy with a 3c1800, but flew good. Only a couple of clicks of trim. Landed nice. Only flew once then the rain came. But so far very happy.
