Looks like a promising heli. Problem with these things is that many of them use the same layout. Swash servos mounted under the swashplate, belt driven tails, bell-hiller heads, frame style, etc. . It would be unfair to call it a clone (not unlike the CopterX and others that shamelessly copied the T-Rex).

RC Helis have reached a point in their evolution where there is no longer (or VERY little) room for improvement. Therefore as previously stated they all resemble one another in basic layout, shape, and design. Only the materials used in their construction, parts availability, popularity, and quality control truly set them apart from one another.

Unless some company releases a kit that comes with a fenestrom, NOTAR, or a truly flybarless head that is as affordable as a T-Rex 450 then there truly wont ever be a heli released that will not be looked at as a clone.

P.S. yes Im following you cflight hahahahaha

Most of the technology has been around for years if you take away materials and advacement in motors and electronics. The last inprovements were belt drive (if you call that an improvment) and CCPM. These have been out for many years. But all things considered changes to motors and new materials and the downward cost of the technologies in those materials have given up some outstanding helos. Can you imagine the cost of a LiPo powered all carbon and aluminium helo 10 years or 20 years ago? The technology was there but a helo like a 450Se v2 20 years ago would have cost many thousands of dollars. And of course the electronics make if fly much better, how did we survive with those old mechanical gyros?

Just when you say there won't be anything new something comes out. What till you see an all carbon helo a third the size of the 450 that can do 3D in your living room!
