Ok all, Please offer me some of your seasoned advice... Lots of questions but I'll try to keep them simple.
I understand the proper adjustments to make to my HSN on a daily basis. What I am a little confused about is how that relates to the LSN, AND the idle needle?
I have the Idle needle set so that there is about the 1mm suggested gap opening at 0% throttle. The buggy starts first pull. Love it. Depending on the day it idles a little high. I USUALLY adjust that with my throttle trim. That works but is that the best way to adjust the idle down? should I be adjusting my IDLE needle on a daily basis? Goog idea or bad?
Next, I have prob 10-11 tanks through the buggy total. Still tuning on pavement (I actually ordered a set of slicks so I didnt destroy the dirt tires that came with it!) From a dead stop when I mash the throttle the buggy hiccups for a sec and then GOES like a bat outta hell. Also, the best acceleration I get is when the buggy is already cooking at maybe 30-50% of top speed. When I hit it there it SCREAMS!!! I am looking to get the launch and acceleration of the buggy tuned in a little better before I bring it to a track. This is where I am a little confused. Should I be adjusting the HSN or LSN for this? Most tracks are going to be focused on heavy launch and low end acceleration. My Matrix is not there yet and I am getting worried about "over tuning.."
Lastly. I am looking to lower and stiffen the buggy a bit so that the front dog bones are straight and the rear is JUST higher than that. I am also looking to stiffen the suspension so that its less squishy on acceleration and deceleration and more stable overall.... Any advice here...?
THANKS TO ALL WHO CAN HELP!
