crashcrash, at $6 bux... you can't beatem. You gotta get some 1mm washers though. Forgot to mention that. But helidirect sells them for 1 bux for 10. And everything you just posted about plastic blades holds true with these. I have smashed the living hell out of these blades and they are still in one piece . Cheap and durable. GOTTA LOVE IT. No more woodies for me. EVER! After I am done with plastics its on to CF.

I have bout 4 sets of these now. Two orders each with 2 sets of blades. Each set of blades are within .1 grams of each other and range from 23-24.5 grams uncut and undrilled. As you can see in my other thread, I have cut and drilled mine and took 4+ grams off each blade in doing so. They track perfect and fly perfect. Couldn't be more Happier with a set of blades. I have trashed 60bux worth of CF blades now and prolly close to the same in woodies. If I would have found these sooner, I would prolly still have 100 of that 120 bux in my wallet.

I love CF...hate the price. I contacted JCS about making Plasti-Blades for the HBKII and his response was like "yeah...piss off" but that's my interpetation. Maybe he's right though...the demand factor wouldn't be high enough to justify tooling up for it. I bought two sets of Plasti-Blades for my two CP-Pro's....best money ever spent because you only buy them once...maybe twice if the first set gets too grody and scuffed up. So what's he gonna do when the whole world moves off the Blade CP series heli's because of the reliability problems? The only real thing the HBKII needs out of the box is a brushless setup and the pulley mod for the belt. Other than that...a pretty reliable bird.

Personally, I do not care who makes the blades as long as they work as intended . And I do not think JCS would sell them for 6 bux either. I got 4 sets of these now. I doubt I will need to buy any blades for a very long time. I have already cracked one blade from the trailing edge to one of the square holes. And it cracked all the way through. A little CA and some light sanding and you cannot even tell they were broke. And it took a Full throttle hit on the kids picnic table to do it. I was doing some left to right and right to left flying one night. The wind kicked up just as I was making a turn and put that damn nose pointed straight at me. Well at this point in time, when the nose of the heli is pointing at me, I go thumb dumb. Augered it in from about 15 foot up right on its side. Spit shined the blades and they looked like new . THESE BLADES ROCK!

LMAO....I know what you mean about the nose of the heli. Well...I guess my next set of blades will be what you got, PLASTIC. Trust me....it won't take long to SMOKE those woodies (LOL). The longest I've ever kept a set of woodies was the CP-Pro woodies I got from the LHS, pretty close to a month before I took them out and that's GREAT for me. I can smoke them 20 minutes after I put them on with relative ease...one good glitch, they're history.

yea, they have had nothing but trouble with the stock motors. I have heard of them getting hot enough to melt the solder on the motor. It will definitely be in your best interest. If you want, I have got several good brushless combos that I could make you a good deal on, I also have some arf kits coming that usually run around 67-69 bucks delivered to your door. let me know if you are interested.

Rusty

Rusty,

Can you advise on some of these combos? I am down right now. Motor is too worn out to even try to have fun.

Scott...PM him. He gets pretty busy sometimes. For my first combo, he hooked me up with an Esky 3100 and a Pheonix 25....very NICE outfit. Great for standard FF and whatnot. Might be on the weak side for 3-D though. I fly this combo the most. It don't get hot at all and you get great flight time from a 10C 1250mah (almost a full 20 minutes). If you can afford it, 3900KV with a 33a ESC will be VERY substantial in power (I have this one also). I've pulled out of the most severe downdraft with this combo with ease without ever reaching full collective. I got both setups from Rusty.

Will do. I'm just getting past hover and FF. But, I can tell the stock motor is beat. I plan to fly and upgrade this for the next few years. Worth it to get a good setup now...

If you're still running a stock motor, don't even bother buying another stock motor. Life expectancy of small bug in a trout pond.

Agree 100%. Getting brushless, ESC, better servos. The aluminum upgrade parts also interest me but I think I will spring for another Futaba 2.4mhz receiver next. The stock radio is ok but I'd rather use the 2.4 if I could.

Having nothing but interference problems with BOTH my stock radios....they're outta here ASAP.
