I have noticed that some of you have done the Blade 400 gear upgrade and would like to try it also. What is needed to do this?? Do I just need the gear with the one way bearing and swap it in place of the Esky one or are there other parts needed? Thanks, Jeff

Jeff

I've done the B400 gear swap on my king, no parts needed, other than the new gear. Be sure to pay the extra few bucks for the one with the new bearing, it's not worth wrecking the new gear trying to press on bearing. S

check out the microheli main gear for the king, lot more expensive but the last one you will buy. The main gear is cnc so warble is reduced to almost none and it is thick true A grade vinyl so its tough and quiet and the one-way bearing is super slick. Like I said it is pricey but really good.

Chief...Some of those T-Rex's have the 180deg swash like the bigger Kyosho's and whatnot. The EXI has the 120deg CCPM type swash. One of my MX-400's is running the 180 swash like the older T-Rex...it's not bad once you figure it out. One servo runs elevator, one runs aileron, and one runs collective and they are independent of each other instead of working collectively. Actually, it's interesting to see it work after just knowing 120deg CCPM only. The 180 config has some benefits, and it has drawbacks. The biggest drawback is the additional arms, levers and links required to make it work (more stuff to break) The 120CCPM upper for the MX-400 eliminates a lot of trash off the front of the heli (LMAO). The 120deg upgrade costs about $45...well worth it, I installed it before even flying it. My current radio (Eclipse 7) is programmable for ANY swash config.

I've looked at it,and it is nice to be sure, but it's way out of line for a main gear for a 300 size, just doesn't make any sense to me,just my honest opinion.Too easy to get lost on stuff for the king II.It still suffers from a crap frame.

ok im back with a flight report!! didnt do any 3d cause of the wind.. i did a lot of forward flight (very fast forward flight at that) and some sharp bank turns.. i did good!! but i have a question for you guys.. doe any of you experience a lot od glitching with the stock radio? it seems that i lose all control of the heli for about a second or so!! the batteries in the tx were getting low(just the red light was on) maybe that causes this?? i did finally crash after flying out 3 battery packs!! i was low to the ground hovering and the radio glitched agin sending the heli torward the ground!! it landed on the skids,, luckily i just have 1 stripped servo from the mishap!! what are you guys using when replacing servos??

Just a quick question for the experts.

Is it normal that while the heli is still in ground effect it slowly scoots to the left (tail in pos) or is this a setup issue?

sheerider1026 I would think that the one light on the tx is a good reason to glitch. As far as servo replacement if your running a stock bird than use a stock servo. The b king is a great little bird to learn on.Keep it stock and cheap to keep. When you get good at flying you will get a better bird with better electronics and a better radio. So untill than keep it real

I use the Eflight non-digital gear pack to fix the servos(contains all 5). All the gears are the same as the Esky servos. I believe the pack will say"S75"...As long as you do not get the pack with the DS75(D for digital). The top gear has a different spline and wont work correctly. I have replaced the number 2 gear about 5 times now. Needless to say, I have a ton of extra gears that I will probably never need, but I have them. Only $2.99-$3.49 at my 2 LHS respectively. You can always just buy new servos like some people on here and keep all the parts for later...That will cost about $9.00 every time if yo
