man thats a good one.. sounds like its either the battery or the charger.. lipos usually hold up pretty well when they are treated right.. mite try another battery.. how do you like the 9 tooth pinion on that 3900 motor?? i have a 10 tooth on my 3900.. head speed seems a bit high to me..

I never tried a 10 tooth pinion. For me the 9 tooth seems about right.
I do have 3 batteries: 2 1000mAh, 1 1200mAh and they are all doing the same thing. I have heard the esky chargers are not very good. Need to get some advice on which one to buy.

If you're willing to spend about $85, the FMA Direct Cellpro 4S is a great charger for up to 4 cell lipos, 123 type cells. You need the charger and adapter for Align, Esky, Eflite batteries. They quite often go on sale, you may get them cheaper. The URL is fmadirect.com

Jim, Zim here!

I wanted to buy this charger because of the price ($29.00)and OMG look at all those functions!!!! Anyone know where to but one of these bad boys in the USA????

Rated with 5 stars from this web site!!!!

HexTronik Balancer/Charger Dual Charge Capable:
Auto balancing and cell restoration slow-charge
Auto balancing
Auto Overcharge Protection
Size: 132x82x35mm
Weight: 309gr
Comes with a balancer and overcharge protection inbuilt.
It can charge from 2S to 4S packs and can also do TWO 2S packs at ONCE!! Which is a real bonus!
The charge port connection fits all Polymax, hexTronik, Dualsky, Align, Kokam etc.. battery ports.
You can adjust the charge rate from .5A up to 2.0A for a fast charge.

Quote from website:
"""If it wasnt for the chargers auto balancing and cell restoration slow-charge, we would have sent the faulty packs to the recyclers.
Although this charger doesnt have a fancy LCD screen, it is a solid workhorse and will charge and balance packs perfectly. We highly recomend it."""

Cheapest charger that I have seen that does just about everything under the sun.....

Peace,

Z

So, which charger are you going to buy? 4s or 10s? Amazing chargers, 4S is not priced too bad either!! Here is the adapter you will need....Esky batteries are the same as Align, Great Planes,Eflight, Parkzone..etc....if you click on this link Great Planes Adapter you will also see another link to a PDF that shows all the compatible batteries..There are too many to list!!!!

Peace,

Z

I'll probably get the 4S with adapter. I guess I also will need a power supply.

A little something from futaba, it is rare you see something like this from them and I hope they have it under control but in reality you will probably never experience a problem, just thought if anybody in here was running any of these radios they should know.

Already been posted here, Rusty. I have a 6EX and 12FG and neither one is affected. Come to think of it, in the 4.5 mos since that story broke, I haven't seen anyone say they had one that was bad.
