Hi Rusty and All,

I plan on trying Governer Mode this weekend. I do have a programmable transmitter (DX7) and I think I understand how to do it.
Will let you know how it went.

Jim

The Extreme adjustable links IMO were a great investment. Tracking off by 1/4 in? 1/8-1/4 turn and whamo... Tracking dead on. No need to pull the links. Makes is real nice and simple. half a turn with normal links = 1/4 turn on the extremes.

Rosebud6,

I have a question about the links. It appears they do not come with new ball link sockets but rely on the stock units. The stock ball sockets have right hand threads. This does not make sense as turning the link would only unscrew from one link and screw into the other, making no change in length adjustment. There needs to be a right hand thread and a left hand thread set of sockets with matching threads on the link. Or, the two ends of the link must have different pitch threads. Or, one end does not have threads and just rotates, which does not seem to be the case.

Can you tell me what you received and how these work with your stock sockets?

Thanks,
Goofyfoot

Goofyfoot;

Where did you get your links from? I had the same problem with first set I ordered and ended up splitting the link end because of the incorrect threads. The second set I ordered came from UShobbysuppy.com, they came with new end links and I couldn't be happier. Send this set back and order yourself a set from Mike. They are a great investment for your heli and I hate to see someone else suffer the same stupid problem I had. S

Skippy,

Thanks for the info. I had not ordered yet as just looking at the add did not seem like the right product. I will check out US Hobby as I need to order some others parts, DUH as always.

i adjusted my gain, it was almost all the way positive... unfortunately i clipped the corner of the wall when trying to test it and destroyed my blades so im unsure how much it has changed but ill soon find out when i replace the blades

Try the normal setting too but you might have to reposition the servo to make it hold. It really sounds like reverse is the wrong position for your heli. When you get the new blades on, put it in normal and move the servo on the boom as needed till it holds the tail.

i had previously tried this... moving the position of the servo to try enable it to hold, and no mater where it was positioned it would not hold

jeremy try a different tail servo if you have one. or try a different gyro. its one or the other or both. if the tail servo is stripped it will not hold either.

I know this sounds redundant but check the tension of your belt, it should be taught with less than 2mm play on the starbird side and really tight on the port side. I know you said you did not have it twisted but also check to make sure you are not missing any teeth on the belt.

At this point I'm inclined to think BAD gyro. Don't happen very often, but it's not impossible. Sounds like you've tried everything. Rudder servo bad...also possible, but don't happen often either.

at first i thought the esky HH gyro was junk. very inconsistent. then i figure it out. i agree with you crash. the esky hhg is defintely a good upgrade for the hbk2. plus its only 40 bucks.

instead of the hs-55, look at the hdx 9g MG digital. I ordered a set in for a dragonis I have and they work very well, and for a digital servo the money is right ($17). The eflite gyro should work fine if you already have one laying around, kinda pricey for what you get if you have to go buy one though.
