ORIGINAL: lohchief Hey Vic,I'm not sure about the dx7,but there is tons of setup info in most of the forums, and on youtube for the dx7.I'm just kinda pluggin' along with the manual, and seeing what it does to the ship.I'm actually enjoying this,(yup,I'm dain bramaged).Glad you got the tail problem solved,,,,,knew you would. Are you using the esky HH on that? What kinda scale build do you have coming up? What mechanics are you going to use for it? Did ya get an EXI 450 yet? -lohchief Yeah...I souldn't have much problems with the DX7. Kind'a on a roll today...I stuffed BOTH heli's The AirWolf fuse is history. I had MORE tail problems and lost it (couldn't spin it fast enough to save it). The PET material shattered like glass, I wouldn't attempt to save it...it was that bad. The AirWolf was MX-400 #1 with 120deg CCPM/ Esky HHG. MX-400....got squirrely and motor probs developed...crash!!! Both heli's.....minor damage. I'll take both and make one good one....I still be fly'in. Oh man,,,,that sux bigtime. The pet material,is that the clear stuff ? This crashin' stuff do get old,(and expensive).Saturday I was programming in the swash on the king (with the stock servos) when the aileron servo just locked up and wouldn't do anything. As I was gonna replace the 3 stock servos left,I put in one of my hs55's (I only have two right now) And it worked fine(and still does). So I continue on with the programing gig then the pitch servo starts acting like a total spaz, all by its self.I just sat there and watched this thing have a fit, then lock up...........dead.I was right away wondering about the rx being weird on me,but it was just the esky servos doing their normal croaking thing. So now,I have just one stock servo on the bird, elevator.I'll pick up another 55 to put on,and that should take care of bidness for awhile.......I hope.THEN.............While I was just turning the drive gear to see that the tail was good to go,I noticed a "lump"in the tailrotor shaft.Well, the pully actually,so there I went. The pully was concentric, like a cam lobe.I pulled it all apart and the shaft is as staright as an arrow, yet the damn pully is offset.I pulled out my trusty pinion puller and yanked off the tailrotor drive pully and sure enough, the outside of the pully is great,BUT the inside was drilled crooked/offset/oblong and wrong So,there is yet another dely, but the good news is,I have finally found the high freq vibration that has eluded me for too long.I will replace the shaft/pully with the copterx unit.3 shafts with one press on metal pully for less then 7 bux.Just love this esky stuff. -lohchief
