For the King I'd keep it around +/- 9 degrees for general flying.

If he sets his blades to go -9 degrees in normal mode he is going to smash his King 2 str8 through the Earth right back to the factory in China if he panics(could be a good thing?)!!! In 3D mode yes that would probably be a good place to start(+-9).....Normal mode (non Idle-up)you need to be no more than 3 degrees minus or suffer the wrath of dumping the throttle to "save" your Heli. Recommended settings for noobs is only 1-3 degree minus pitch in normal mode, -1 being super noob setting.

I am no pro but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.......

yea i have a lot of neg pitch in normal mode.. how do i change that?? just go to the pitch curve settings ?? just up the % in the L and 2 settings and measure pitch to see where i am at?? i did notice the neg pitch when landing.. i am going to set it up to do some mild 3d (idle up mode) my stick is at 3/4 throttle when it lifts off the ground.. then if i max the stick out it zooms to the moon!!! seems a little jumpy compared to the stock tx though..

That is exactly how I have my radio setup. Points L, 1 and 2 are at 50% pitch curve. This gives me 0 degrees pitch during the first half of the throttle. I am not a fan of negative pitch for beginners. 0 works just fine. That is in normal mode, btw.

My pitch curve in Normal Mode is something like 49, 50, 50, 75, 100....But to get the exact pitch you need at the low point, you will need to fuss a little bit with a pitch gauge and your linkage. Before you start this project, go to your swash mixing and set the pitch value at the highest you can go before bottoming out the center hub. You can then measure your pitch at the top end of FULL travel as well.

I was recommended to unplug the motor to set the pitch instead of using throttle hold. Throttle hold seems to chunk the swash downward into a different realm of pitch. this would give you a false "flying" pitch value....

Have fun....

every time i email them, they tell me its delayed. 2 weeks ago, he said that they sent them back due to qc issues. He said not to expect them before the end of the month, and that was optimistic.

I figured you'd engineer a fix yourself Chief. I never had upper frame probs with the HBKII, I guess I was lucky. I always had the battery hangar/lower fail on me so I made an aluminum one that worked great....never failed again.

sheerider1026, Google IMAX B5 and see what you thin about it. I have been looking at it because it will do all battery types not just LiPo.

I just bought the HBKII after flying a blade cx for a while. Cx got too boring. I've gotten the tail dialed in so that tail does not yaw in any direction but the heli wants to drift to the left when i lift off. How do i fix this ? I'm sorda a newbie to Collective Pitch heli's and just need some setup advice. Thanks.
