yeah the swashplate does go down from the up position, no way to fix this huh? TX means the radio? I'm a newbie..=)
TX means the transmitter (the radio you hold in your hand). Yes, the servos can be re-wired...but it's not easy to do. Someone mentioned in this thread that there are some switches inside the radio, and you can reverse that way but I don't remember much about it. I've re-wired the servos (HS-55's), it's NOT my favorite thing to do so if you can reverse it using internal switches...that would be the better way to do it.

here's a thread that addresses the problem...btw, if think you're beginning to like flying rc helis, and might stick with it, you might want to consider getting a computer radio...you'll be able to correct such problems and dial-in the exact combination of throttle and pitch settings that you want...ken

thanks guys for the info, I'm going to try to re-wire the servos for now. I'm using HS-65HBs, do I just swap the power and ground inputs to the servos?

Personally, I'd go back to stock servos until you get a programable TX (radio). You can buy the gear kits for a few bucks. Usually only one of the gears strip and of course non of my LHS ( local hobby shops) carry gears for esky. I've only had one servo gear go out other than during crashes (about 4 of em). Amazingly enough my last crash from 30 ft didnt even scratch the servos but took out my ESC, battery frame, main frame amungst a few other things. Only other option is to search around for the fix to reverse the switch.

I'm guessing that the servo operates the wrong way (don't have one), but no, you can't just swap the power and ground on the servo wire. You have to swap them inside the servo, swap them on the pot and on the motor.

Here is a schematic of the switches in the radio...Hope these help and you do not have to rewire the servos.....This is a repost of a picture and explanation from a different post(on a different forum, in a different universe).
A - aileron & rudder. Up = AIL left, RUD right. Down = AIL right, RUD left. B - pitch & elevator. Up = PIT right, ELE left. Down = PIT left, ELE right.
Mode 1 is A down, B up. Mode 2 is both switches down.
1 - Pitch mixing. On = FP mode (90 deg swash), Off = pitch mixing enabled. 2 - Mixing mode. On = Belt style mixing, Off = CP2 style mixing.

Sorry to bring up such an old post, but I guess we can add grandhobby.com to this list.

I went to Xheli and read about becoming an affiliate. After reading the page, I believe that all these clones and semi-clones are just affiliates that link to the same products with a storefront. When you see Zims-RCHeli.com....You are welcome to go through my link to buy all those nifty EXI-450's...Hehehe
