I noticed on my HBK2 everything started to turn black from dust and dirt build up. I knew there was a dry graphite out there as i use to use it on skateboard and rollerblade bears. Just wasnt sure how it would do on a Swash ball.

I wasnt sure as it looks like it has absolutely no lube in the swash ball on this EXI and since it is a clone....maybe thats how they save their money.. no lube.

There must have been something in the air last night. My neighbor asked me to go fly but decided to stay home. Both he and his son have Trex 450se. Both ended up bringing them home in coffin...

Yes...perfect evening for flying, now mines on the bench. Pinion come loose at 20ft up...I used full collective to cushion the fall some (straight vertical drop), it helped. Total damage, minor crack in the fuse, broken front skid strut. I checked the feathering shaft, it's not bent...amazing. I haven't seen or noticed any other damage. I knew I was in for a crash...I was just waiting, it finally happened (LMAO). It'll be flyable by this evening.

Hey Rose...Might not want to fly with your neighbors, EVER!! What have they been doing to obtain so much bad Karma?

I use Tri-Flow synthetic oil I got from a bike shop...Seems to work great. I know Kyle from RCSuper used Tri-flow on his Micro-Heli swash as well. In his videos he spins the head with his fingers and it just keeps spinning like the energizer bunny. I also use slick-50 synthetic spray, but it may be a tad too thick?

Peace,

Z

Guess what kind of motor this is, other than beautiful...Win a pat on the back!

graphite eh? interesting. i don't have problems with oil slinging though because i only leave a very thin coat and wipe the rest. that's why i was saying that it doesn't wash out the grease for me. besides, i'm just used to having to clean up my rc's anyway, with alcohol and rags, since they're all nitro lol (except the sailboat and HBK). slimy yet satisfying
i also heard that tri-flow and other synthetics work great as Zimatosa pointed out. i sometimes use bike chain drying lube to coat where driveshafts go into the cups (cars).

crashcrash, is HBK autorotatable with some negative pitch applied while falling? i'm not brave enough to find out by trial hahaha.

Hey all, been hanging out on the Falcon 40 thread as that's what I'm currently flying as my first heli. I just traded my nitro truck for a HBK2, has a brushless motor upgrade and an HH gyro. I've been reading this thread from page 1 to get some info and tips, but I'm wondering if there's a good setup guide somewhere I can get my hands on. I want to go over it and have everything set up correctly as it doesn't look like it is at the moment, and also some instruction on the radio (the translation to English in the manual is horrible). If anyone knows of a good guide I'd appreciate it, it's gonna take quite some time to get though all 200 pages of this thread!

Hope you guys can give me a heads up. I just bought a HBK2 off a guy on here. It comes with Xtreme blades and brushless set-up. Also the stock 11.1v 1000mah lipo but I ordered another 11.1 1800mah lipo from UsHobbySupply. But is there anything else I need to know about this heli to get it flying perfect? Thanks in advance, Joe

Arnt the Extreme plastic blades under 'recall'? They break at the base of the blade. I have a set and they told me they would send me the new models that come out when they are available. Not sure if those are the ones you have but good FYI.
