hey, so does anyone know the answer to my earlier question about usb cables for sim?

I gave up on trying to find a cable that would work perfect on my G3.5...After all the time and heart break and money i spent on this subject, I bought a Dynam 6 channel USB controller and it works perfectly perfect....

If you want to try and make it work, just go back to the PPJOY or Smartpropo website and follow the directions to make the cable that you need. I made the cable for my DX6i from parts at Radio Shack and it bound my radio to the computer fine(uses an ocsilloscope program to test). My problem was that I have a Realtek sound card and apparently these do not work with PPJOY...Go figure?!

Peace,

Z

I have a question in regards to aligning the swash. I just got my leveling tool, despite my best eyeball it was off a bit! Once I leveled the swash, I adjusted the servo arm length to get the washout arms level and then set blade pitch with a gauge. I noticed on the rods that adjust the blade pitch that alot of threads are exposed and not alot are screwed into the ball connectors, this would seem to be a weak spot, anyone else have this issue, do I need to get longer rods? This thing hasn't been off the ground yet and I don't want one of those rods to let go, I spun it up and hit idle up and there's almost no vibration so I think I have it adjusted correctly.

If you got too many threads showing....move the servo arm on the servo UP one click, adjust the link DOWN till it's right. DONT try to fly it like that...BIG PROBLEMS.

Won't doing that take the arms out of the 90 degrees setting that's recommended? It's not the servo rods that are the issue, it's the 2 rods that you use to adjust blade pitch.

OK....misunderstood your problem. Still, you need to raise the swash....90 or not on the servos to get the pitch links in a little. Raise the swash with the servo links equal amounts of turns on all 3 servo links. This will allow you to screw the pitch links in a couple turns.

I'm about to throw this damn heli out the window. I've read that manual and can't find anything in there about what to do when the tail is spinning out of controll. I'm having a problem with the heli spinning to the right. But dont know where to make adjustments. PLEASE HELP BREAK IT DOWN FOR ME. Thanks, Joe

Make sure all of your trim settings are center (except throttle, put it to low). You need to slide the tail servo up or down the boom (loosen the tail servo mount screws and physically slide the whole servo) in small increments until it does not spin. Make sure to tighten them in between tests. Its a trial and error thing as I forget which direction to slide it to stop the spin one way or the other. Takes time and patience to get a heli tweaked to good performance. Take your time and don't give up. I went through the same frustration until i learned to take my time.

If you put the tail servo closer to the heli it spins even faster to the right. So I moved it down a bit and it was still spinning to the right. After moving it a bit more, I noticed that the tail servo no longer moves at all. It was pinned all the way back and I think from using the Tx while it was pinned, burned it out. Hahahaha my wonderful luck. But now I see that the gyro is also blinking red, where before it would stay solid. What's that all about? An why is the manual so worthless? It doesnt help at all for set up. It talks about blade tracking and how to mess with the gyro.

No wait, tail servo now working again. Does anyone want this heli? I think I should have gone with a FP before this one. If someone wants to get me a HoneyBee FP I'll give you everything I have for this HBK2. It has 1000mah Lipo, Brand new Esky 1800mah Lipo (charging now never been used) Brushless motor/ESC and Xtreme pulley and belt. Also complete head with blades and other extra parts. Let me know.

You're giving up too early. ANY problem that can occur has been posted on this thread....yes, all 200 pages of it. I've owned a FP...the HBKII is far better. CALM DOWN, do some thinking. Tail spins...GYRO settings (NORM-REVERSE)/SERVO reversed on TX? Aint much it can be causing the spins.

Both Tx and Gyro are set to Rev. Could it be that the Gyro is bad? And not doing it's job holding the tail steady? I just went over the heli to make sure everything was connected and that nothing was missing and it seems to be good to go.

Power up the radio and heli, make sure the gyro arms, then hold it by the nose and wave it back and forth in front of you- the trailing edge of the blades should swing out in the direction it's going.

OK? then set it down on the table and move the rudder to the left and right; right rudder, trailing edge moves to the right. Left rudder, TE moves to the left.

OK? Then if the heli is still having problems, then make sure the gyro arm is close to straight up and down as you can get it when the rudder is centered and that the pushrod and tail linkage are free. Then move the tail servo fore and aft on the boom until you have about 5 degrees right thrust on the tail.

If you go over those in that order and check each thing I'd be surprised if it still had a problem. Could be a bad gyro or servo, but that's rarer than you might think.
