Status: offline 		I think you would be suffering from a little overkill on the 35, I like the titans but have never had the need to run higher than a 30a on anything 450 or less. Me personally, I would go for the hobbywing 30a w/ ubec. I have not found a better esc for the money ($35 vs. $50 for the titan 30a and $80 for the 35a, whew). If you are going to go that big my strongest recommendation is the Phoenix 35, same programmable options and better quality and customer support in my opinion (and actually cheaper than the titan - $75).

Status: offline 		that depends on your budge dude, I personally would wait until I could do both but I do think a better esc will add performance and life to the motor you already have. Look at it this way, shipping can't be cheap to your neck of the woods so I might save a couple of bucks by getting everything at once.

Status: offline 		yea, in about a week after you get it you will want to replace that 3100 motor with something more powerful, the 3100 is the brushless recommendation for the cp2 and somehow it made it into the king literature and people think it supposed to be the factory replacement but it is not, it is way underpowered. Read back through the thread and you will find alot of good reviews on many different motors and esc's

I think but I am not postitive that its the same one that Align uses or used to use for a little less

Status: offline 		If you have to go with the esky motor go 3800 and whatever you do don't go cheap on your esc. I like the Titan and sell them but for the money it is just my opinion there are better out there, same with the esky motor, the only decent one is $30 bucks at most places and for $5 bucks more you can get some really good quality stuff. I don't know about the dynam personally and have not heard alot about it one way or the other but check the specs and capabilities and see what you think. Don't think that too much power is a bad thing, it is alot better than not enough in any situation, lol.

Status: offline 		I run the Esky 3800 and Dynam 30a and it does the job. Gets a little warm after my 3rd battery ( first 2 are 1500 15c and 3rd and 4th are 2200 20c).

Status: offline 		I have an HDX 4200kv with a brass 9T pinion that works well. I have an 11T and a steel 9T, but they are too long for the motor - if I mount them with the grub screw towards the motor, the tapered part of the teeth meet the main gear. If I flip the pinion around and mesh the gears properly, the motor shaft is too short to catch the grub screw.

I did a quick search on the thread here for information on motor spacers (to use longer pinions), but I have yet to see where (if) they can be purchased. I checked a few websites and
search engines, including Castle Rock Hobbies website, but it didn't jump up & bite me. I don't have the material or tools to make one - can someone give me a swift kick in the right direction to someone that makes/sells these?
