I posted this on the Futaba support forum, but thought I may get a helpful response here too, so I have copied the post.

I have just bought a Futaba 3PJ Super from Taiwan, which I was told is on 27 MHz FM (It hasn't arrived yet, but I did have a discussion about UK legal fequencies with the shop). Is this a standard frequency for an Asian Tx?

The UK models are sold as 40 MHz FM, so can someone let me know where can I get a 40 MHz FM module from?

Finally, is there a list of which frequencies are legal in which countries? (I live in the UK, but my father is in New Jersey and I travel a lot too and I would like to take my "toys" with me sometimes).

Having dug through all the posts I dragged up another request, is it possible to get a list of which modules are compatible with the 3PJS?

Thanks,

Simon

Don't get caught with a 40mhz without a HAM license in the US. 27mhz band is used in the U.S. also for both air, land, and water. Not recommended as this band is shared with other activities outside of r/c.

Popular is the 75mhz for land and 72mhz for air (I think).

Not sure who would sell 40mhz module for your radio in US. More likely that you will not find it here (US).

As I live in the UK, I'd better not get caught using a 72 or 75 MHz system, as they are reserved for the military.

Despite the fact that the majority of people visiting these boards are from the US, they are accessible by everyone else on the planet, including those dodgy brits who use 40 Mhz.
