Why dont you just change this thread to "Lets pick a part the KMP FW-190"

I personally am looking forward to getting mine and flying an all composite airplane for once without having to build it.

An intelligent person would look before buying and would compare it to 3D pics and know it is not quite right and either buy it or move on.

I know it is not quite right, I know the cowl is off, I know the tail section is off, ect, ect.
If I wanted to spend $1500 plus on a scale FW-190 like the one on www.fliteskin.com I would but I dont want to spend that kind of cash
on one composite ARF. Because I dont have the extra couple of thousand to complete it.

I would just like to see this thread talk about people receiving their new KMP plane, see pics and see how all of you are putting yours
together as well as any mods that are being made.

If I wanted to read or hear about complaining I just have to get up in the morning and go to work....

.... and the spinner? KMP is leaving us in the dust with one of the most notorius questions.

Are we supposed to use a big red Great Planes sport spinner that was intended for a BigStik?

I say more power to the guys that want to build from a kit or scratch build from plans but, I prefer to spend more time at the field flying rather than building. If someone didn't like an ARF that I built and tried to pick it apart, I would simply tell him to shove it and go away. I build my stuff to please myself more than others and my scale or semi scale german plane all have hakenkreuz's on them. I'm an army veteran and I've earned the right not to be questioned about political or social views. My model planes aren't attempting to make any political statements and if folks don't like it, TS and for those yappers, I put extra Hakenkruez's on my german stuff.

While not perfect, KMP is still producing some of the best warbird ARF's on the market today and I believe that they strive for perfection but, the realities are such that perfection is an impossible task.

I agree with proulxlaw and some others here
This is not a Scale masters ARF
It is not as well priced as scale masters (SiSt and others full composite planes for 1500-2000USD)
It is MUCH BETTER then other ¨SCALE¨ masterpiece from CPM
It has few dents, I know them, but 90% of others won’t recognize them
If I will feel comfortable I will buy it, if not I can order Dave Platt plan and build it

I don’t see a reason, why shall I try to say to others how huge mistake they made to buy this 190, they are happy with how it looks, or they have a hard work and not too much bucks to spend on SiSt and no time to build Platt. Not all of us have the experience to do so. Not all of us have a time to build it, they simply like to FLY!!!

I was as well little disappointed with the look and I put my 2 cents here about it. But again it is not so bad - I saw worse

Bravo,
like we say in german

" Gut gebrüllt Löwe "

there's nothing more to say.

@vik
that's the point

ESM / KMP / YT / EL ARF-Kits are all of them a good and most scale looking model, for this price and size.

I think that KMP and YT are doing their best to give us all kits that are well priced and practical. If you want pure scale build from scratch simple as that. These kits (I have the typhoon) are the best there are for the price. I tend to customise mine when I get them anyway so as long as its 90% there I am happy.

Technically they fly which for years has been the problem with manufacturers for years, how do we make a scale aircraft and make it easy to fly...well these do both in my eyes. In the case of the FW190...it looks like a FW 190 !! In fact it look more like the real thing than the replica that recently under took its first flight here in the Uk earlier this year at Duxford.

Just as long as KMP and YT listen to us guys when it comes to technical things like , this won't fit or these don't line up, instructions say one thing but you actually need to something else then they are onto a winner. Defective and Substandard they are not !!!!

jaybenson5,
you've got to get your priorities straight and get to work on that 190 now.

Looks like a winner to me. Rough final price guess would be somewhere between $1k and $1500.00 depending on how much radio and hardware you had to buy new and which brand of retracts, wheels, gas engine etc, etc. Then many of us will want to paint our's to look differant. More $$. Again ,,, just rough guessing here but the price sure seems right.

I'm with manfred, use the red hand and evil merlin and his rodamontade goes away.

I don't think that an objective discourse is possible with his pressents, Red hand him.

Man what a tough crowd! Seriously though, I was wondering if Evil could build me a 100% scale composite ARF for $600. I'll take 2. I think from the pictures so far the KMP190 looks great. I as well think for the money its a bargin.

I'm OK with the KMP 190, except for the big dip in front of the vertical fin. The big dip does not make the plane fly any better:
