This has been sitting on the shelf for some time now. The plane looks similar to a Venus with huge tail control surfaces. Some one at the field thought the engine might be dumpster material with all the burnt on castor oil. Any hoo:
11x5 APC 10% - 13,200 ready to fly. Good idle and transition mounted inverted. Plane had elevator flutter coming out of dive. Will try an APC 11.5x4 next time out. MikeB

11.5x4
95 F
10%
~3200 ft elevation

12600 ready to fly.

This engine just seems so easy to use and adjust. Idles for a long time with great transition. Like the others I have tried, 95 F is too hot for optimum performance. Presently I am having good luck with the muffler staying put. With the extension, most of the oil is blown clear of the plane.

APC12.25x3.75
90 degrees F
10%
12,300 rpm peak
12,000 rpm flying
Had the same verticle as the 11.5x4 with less speed.
This same prop and engine would pull my lighter 4* up forever. This plane weighs in at ~ 5.75lb. I think it will pull better when it starts to cool down. We had the hottest July on record this rear with May and June way above normal also.
