which airframe? seems there are subtle differences between each airframe....


I'd take a pic of mine, but it is loaded in the trailer for some flying in the morning........

look at the comp arf tank trays. They are balsa laminated with lite fiberglass. Lot tougher than the junk ass gear in one.

Hey Rob, I can't find a better picture of what I have been doing but this shows most of the idea. I'm using lite ply with all the center cut out under the tank and along the sides. The front and rear of the plate has a 3/8ths tall lite ply strip running crossways to stiffen the plate so it doesn't pull on the sides with the velcro straps. The plate is epoxied to 2- 1/4x1/4 balsa square stock on the motorbox sides. Its light and will not bust loose, yet anyway. Walt

Check out post# 220 on my 300 built thread. Very similar to walt's, the inportant thing is to use 1/8" lite ply.
