Finally found a pic of the legendary Mr Eric Dainty, and his harrier, that is by general aggrement, the only succesfull rc harrier project so far. The machine had been, and gone before the internet was around, so almost none of the old links and references still work. BUT, still looking!! Mr Dainty if your out there, we could use a little help here!!! The body looks as if it comes as a fiber glass shell(maybe a byron original),thanks to the fact it is obviously unpainted, and looks in the 40/ 50 size range. But it was too supposed to have a os 91 size motor in it!!!! Full flaps and possibly retracts and had a run time of about 5 mins. Lots of cool details, that put things into perspective, in particular the size and power of the motor in relation to the model itself. Thats like putting one of my thumpin 90 3d heli motors into some guys little 46 la trainer plane!!! SCARY!! Back to the drawing board!! I had suspected for a while now, that a screaming little 15 size buggy motor might be worth a lookin, but after seeing the attached pic, i just dont even see the buggy motor getting the power needed. So,, time to upscale, ill copy Mr Dainty`s effort as closely as possible. And my motors would leave the ones he had back then for dead!! Yeah, im in the mood now for some stupid power!!!
