Alright so I've narrowed it down to 3. I plan on getting heavy into racing, so I'm definately looking for a high end radio. As of right now, I've heard the Nomadio React is the fastest radio, is this true? What makes its 2.4ghz system better then Futaba's or Spektrums? Lastly, which one feels the best for medium sized hands (I plan on going down and testing all the radios my LHS has) but even so?

I got my React about 3 weeks ago. It is great I have really liked it. I only have it on one of my RCs right now but will be adding more. If you do decide to go with the React here is a Coupon for you to use when you Register to get a Free TEMP sensor.

I have only had my React for a couple of weeks and I have not run it yet even thaw I have been setting it up and learning how to use it. I think I will like it even thaw there are a few things they could do to improve it.

The free temp sensor would help since I'll be running nitro trucks

The more I become familiar with the React I do not think there is another radio that comes never to the versatility and features other then the Sensor all so made by Nomadio. Any one looking for a radio really needs to check the React out! I all so like the fact I can use my Spektrum receivers with it.

Its funny people bang on about 'fastest' radio. Even back in the days of 27mhz fm, I never heard anyone say 'Damn, I wish this radio was faster'. Know what I mean? These speed figures are utter BS, true or not, they won't make you any faster on a track, or make the slightest difference to, er, anything...

On the subject of these radios, I haven't tried a nomadio, I don't like that they look like they were made by fisher price, so I can't comment on them, I'm sure they have great features. The 3pk is the best radio I've ever used. Of course it has all the features, etc, but the real selling point for me...I can do a one hour main and forget to let the thing go at the end, I carry it down to the pits, to congratulate my mechanic, blah, blah, it's so comfortable and well balanced I forget it's in my hand. I see other races stretching their fingers after a main. Big plus that.

I agree they will not make you a better drive but I can say I have owned both the Spektrum DX3 and the React and I sure can tell the React is MUCH faster then the Spectrum!!!!!!!!!! All the features you get with the React are just pronominal which many other radios do not have!

Here, for me at least, is the issues I'm having with the React (Nomadio guys, don't take this as hate, as I have never actually tried it)

A: I really really do not like the case design. It may feel good, but it looks really really ugly (TO ME) The build quality also looks like it could compare with my XP2 that came with my GT2 (Obviously I replaced that with a new radio that I had laying around)

B: From the looks of it, your RC Desktop doesn't support Mac (I might be wrong, and if I am, correct me) and I plan on moving eventually.

C: After looking into it, I think foxy is right. Honestly, is 25mhz (from 75 to 100) really going to make that much of a difference? I mean I understand that its going to make some, but is it really that noticeable?

I don't really know what I'm getting yet, but it looks like its not going to be the React. If my LHS (Scottsdale Speedway/Hobbytown USA) carries that React and I test it, then I might change my mind, but I think after I try a few out, I'm probably going to go with the one that feels the best.

The React is not only the fastest radio but the lightest one too. That translates to much more comfort in long races. One of the big differences between the React and Futauba FASST is the React is a dual processor design.....one processor dedicate to RF function and the other to software features. This design is one of the things that make it a little faster than FASST. Faster radios show themselves in much smaller inputs required at throttle and steering to get your car around the track and not in standing on the drivers stand saying gee this is fast.

Not really The Refferer Gets Rewars points good twards the purcace of items If you can get enough points you can actaully get a whole new radio. The one that uses your code gets a Free temp sensor and when they register they get a code to refer thier friends and such to start earning them points.

I understand that technologically speaking, the React is faster. It may help you move around the track faster, but if you can drive well already with what your used to, would it really make that much of a difference?

Again, what I really think it will come down to (out of the 3 that are up there) is how each one feels in my hand. I'm heading back to AZ today, so tommorow I'll get a chance to try some of them out.

In a word.....YES. I too used to be of the mindset that fast radios and terms like PCM and HRS were a bunch of hooey. But when I went from my xtal based radio to Nomadio Sensor, it took about 3 months of racing with it to realize I was making moves and mid turn corrections I was unable to do with my old radio. You really have to race with it for awhile before you notice the difference.......a few laps in the parking lot will probably not show it

Something else people are forgetting about the Nomadio's, either the sensor or the React, is the servo resolution!!!
Both of the radios from Nomadio have more steps for servo control than any other radio on the market to date!!!
This translates into a higher degree of control over the car and the ability to be more precise in your driving!!!
I cant remember the exact numbers so please bare with me on this point.

If a standard radio has 200 steps from left to right the Nomadio's have 400 steps. This again leads to much greater control over the location of your wheels, throttle and brakes.
Another nice feature of the Nomadios is the ability to run digital, analog or the combination of both servos. Not only can you run the standard two servo setup like most radios but you are supplied with a transciever, provided you buy a complete radio system and not just the radio, that can control up to four servos along with locations for additional sensors for real time input from your car, such as temp, rmps, battery voltages, etc...

With all this being said and the current price of roughly $260 for the React I find it one of the best bangs for your buck!!!
