I have a 4-tec car with a stock 3.3 right now but am getting a pro built 3.3 that will turn 60,000 RPM's when it gets back. Right now the stock 3.3 is spinning tires like crazy so I am wondering if you guys know of a wider tire than a 30mm that would fit the rear of a 4-tec?

Whats up buddy? First thing, are you drag racing? Hope so thats why your in this forum. Well i would have to say get some VHT it will help you stick to the track. it's tire bit for the really car's, works great. Just spray it down and run the path. If that don't work grandmotorsports, com. Has tire bit you put on the tire's to help out

There is no way your engine will get to 60,000 rpm. It won't even have get to 50,000.LOL
Unless of course you are fitting a turbine. Then it will probably idle at 100,000rpm. LOL

In fact the 3.3 is one of the lamest engines you can get.

X dyno says:

Company Size (ci) Engine HP TQ Peak RPM Fuel %

Traxxas 0.200 TRX 3.3 Pullstart 1.06 @ 30,900 rpm 38.32 oz-in @ 22,700 rpm 38,100 rpm Traxxas 33% Top Fuel

O.S. 0.180 .18 TZ-T 1.18 @ 29,400 rpm 44.16 oz-in @ 21,750 rpm 42,050 rpm 30% nitro, 12% oil

The stock O.S .18 is not only a faster, higher reving and more powerful engine than the 3.3 but it is also cheaper.

If you change the hex's you can fit some serpent/kyosho 1/8th scale rears to it but they won't it under the shell.

Thanks guys.

The 60,000 RPM quote was given to me by Rick Blake himself of (RBmods.net). He is the one that built the motor, ported it and timed it for drag racing but he mentioned the key was a rod that he has made plus whatever he does to the crank. I am not the engine builder, just telling what he told me. I have to use the 3.3 because that is the local class rule for the 4-tec cars. I bought a PICCO .26 last week only to find out that I can't use it in that car. I will fit it to my REVO and just have fun with it.

LOL. Looks like he saw you coming and he has taken you for a ride.

55,000rpm is totally fictional. From that engine 50,000rpm IMO is doubtful.

What other companies are good at porting and modding these engines?
