Interrupted by rain we still got in the race. I got soaked and some of my equipment got wet after the 1st round so I had to head back to the house. However I still managed to burn 7 tapes so I have plenty of footage despite the weather. The 3 camera rig worked pretty well but I'm not good enough with the glidecam yet to follow these cars so I had to go back to hand held mode. Too hard to see the LCD when you are filming. I have a 6 inch monitor spotted but I'll have to save up a bit to add that to my set-up.

I'll be posting some more as I get them edited. A couple of sound glitches in this one. Tried to get them out but sometimes in Liquid if you add in transitions while its rendering it will botch them up and you can't get them out unless you start over. So they are small but still in there.

Hey Griz,

Outstanding video presentation and selection of supporting audio.

Team AHR43 attended and competed in the 'Shootout at Lampasas' (Texas, USA). This first video captures the essence of the action at Lampasas. Follow-ons will add to the viewing pleasure and excitment of RC Drag Racing. Well done my friend.

SAMDRL (San Antonio Model Darg Racing League) will publish the race results to its website soon: www.sadragracing.com

Team AHR43 will update its RC Universe blog once the official SAMDRL results are published.

Again, outstanding grip work Griz.

Well its not perfect yet. First time with 3 cameras to manage will introduce problems. But my idea is to shoot as much tape as possible and you'll have good shots in there somewhere :) The glidecam is gonna take lots of practice. You really have to concentrate to keep from making little movements that jar the camera just enough to see it on the vids. But then again that was my 2nd time to use that piece of equipment. The concept works though I can see that so I'll keep working on the details and by Oct and the Big Show I'll have it down pat.

Very nice Griz. Outstanding job cannot wait for the others.

This one is pretty much the rest of the footage. Shot a lot of tape but that doesn't turn into lots of minutes of video. The rain really screwed me up as well. I only shot one tape with my handheld of full track racing. I was saving battery and tape for the final rounds. Then the rain came and I was stuck with what I had. I should be able to go to the 4th of July Money Race in San Antonio Saturday and try again. I made lots of mistakes for sure. 3 times the stuff to look after and the glidecam to figure out as well. By the time the World Finals rolls around in Oct I'll have it all working perfectly.
