Morning all,

I'm writing this because of the lack of response from the email support at nitro models. I had written and asked for specs on the bobcat 90 and if it was going to be retract ready or not? Mind you none of this is listed on the website. The answer I got was look at the website. That's a ton of help. What is the IQ of the person responding to these emails seeing that I stated in my email that the info wasn't available on the website? Anyways........does anybody know the specs and if it's retract ready? It's not in stock now....but if it's not retract ready.....I won't be waiting and will start shopping for a different airframe.

Thanks,

Neo

NP probably doesn't know yet as the plane hasn't left the factory in China.

Until it does, your guess is as good as mine.

That said all of the latest models have been available in a retract ready version.

Have a look at the Falcon 1.20. It's very nice with split flaps.

I wasn't aware it hasn't left the factory yet. I was also told that "they would be back in stock in 2 to 4 weeks". That made it seem to me that they were released. Anyway...thanks for the heads up. As far as the 1.20........realistically that model is gonna need a 1.60 or larger to get it moving unless your thinking turbine. I've got a pumped Webra 1.20 looking for a home and the .90 seems about right. I've looked at the Keekat....but after reading about some problem with the nose wheel setup....at this time I've decided it's not for me. I'm not in a rush at this point to order one up...so I can wait for the .90 sized version to come out. My Weston Magnum keeps my need for speed at bay for now. But again, thanks for the heads up.

Hmmm...

I have both a 1.20 2 stroker and a 1.80 FS engine that I was going to try on the Falcon 1.20.

I may have to go with the larger engine given what you've just said.

There is a good thread on the Falcon 120 in the jet forum. A guy over there had put a GMS 120 on it said it flew....but said the speed was marginal and was going to go to a 1.60 or larger. That's where my judgement came from. I also take into mind that the bobcat 50 performance is marginal with a .50 on it and needs a hot 60 or a good .75 to really get it moving. The airfoil is just too think to get that kind of speed out of the recommended engines.

Ouch that's exactly what I wanted to install... a GMS 1.20...

It's rated at 3.4 BHP while the OS 1.60 is rated at 3.7 BHP.

Hmmm....

I also have a Magnum 1.80 RFS 4 stroke and a BGX-1 available, but I'd assume that the weight of the BGX would be too much...

I'll check out the Jet forums...

THANKS!

Ya I was really wanting to do my webra....but I'm doubting if it'll work or not. I do like the looks and design of the Falcon 1.20 though. Just don't want to mess with a glow engine larger than a 1.20 though. I think the Falcon was more designed for the turbine guys.

I'm going to try the .50 first. Dependant upon that I'll select a glow engine for the 1.20.
