Rate1,

Not sure on the tank size as it came with the plane...It looks to be about 14oz....I don't keep track of the time but i'm sure i've flown at least 10 minutes of a mixed bag of flying and still had a 1/3 of a tank left.It seems to be a miser on fuel if a guy doesn't fly flat out all the time..

I have now placed an order on this engine. What I gather a 18x8 prop is the optimum for it. I was kind of hoping for a 19x8 wich I might give a try after been properly runned in.

Nope, I bought a moki 2.10 instead, not because it's a better engine, it's just that It was almost 200 clams short of the 2.0fs.

I'm sure the 2.0fs sounds better.

Rate1,

Now that you have spent some time with the OS 200, do you have any comments on its performance?

I,m picking up an EF Yak 74" at Toledo, I,ve got a Saito 220 waiting for it but if that combo comes out heavy I,m going with the OS 200-Pumped version.
You can,t beat the power and sound of a large 4 stroke glow engine in planes under 13lbs IMHO.

tigil, Is it the standard 18x8 or the 18x8W you have on the OS200?

I have to ask the same question, wide blade or regular? Did you have the wing off or the engine rich to shake the fuselage like that?

That's the 18X8 regular/narrow blade.

ok guys.
thats my story from greece.
i run this engine on my qq yak 54 73" with a 18-6w apc prop.
as a result the engine runs grate on the ground but... on the air at full throtlle it kind of misses or stals or sounds like running too lean.
ok. i take it down to the ground turning the needle to enrich the mixture and on the air again. result...not enough power.
running a 20-6 wooden prop, elliminates the problem but climbing is redused.
trying different fuels (nitro percentage) did not notice any diference.
on the ground 18-6w showed 8400 and 20-6 showed 7400 rpm.

i just can not get the power out of this engine.
do you think i should try a 18-8 prop??? since 18-6 (in my opinion) causes the float valve faenomenon.
helpppppppp.......
by the way what is the valve clearance for this engine since there is no reference in the manual??

i have to admit one thing....... idle is the best i have ever experinced in a 4 stroke engine.....just great.
