Yes, its do both video and still, but I am using this mostly for video pressing RECORD button before flight. Very simple.

The price is ~$90 USD at this location: http://www.tufflight.com/5n1vidcam.html

The camera description is here: http://www.tufflight.com/5n1vidcam.html

Dude, that is neat. Have you considered placing the cammera on the belly of the plane for a different view?? Cool, just don't crash if you have the cammera on the belly (will most likely damage it). Does the cammera position/weight/size affect the way the plane flies (flight times...) Prety cool, any video's yet????

I found out that the best view is when video camera is about 45 degree looking down. When plane is climbing at +5 - +10 degree it is the most impressive footage of the land below.
I think belly mount is limiting view, although I didn’t try it.

What I have tried is to attach camera outside the plane to get portion of the plane in the view, but I found that Aerobird-3 speed is too high to control it with camera disbalancing the plane. Eventually I ended up on the tree a few times straggling with control.

After recovery mission I decided to put video camera in the way it will not affect control much.

What you see on the images is my final solution and I believe it is still quite safe for the camera itself.

I do not have any remote control for camera, instead I am pushing RECORD button before the start and second time after landing. In case the plane landed on the tree the camera is recording all events up to ~8 minutes and then stop recording itself.

Camera weight is about 60 grams and doesn’t affect Aerobird-3 performance at all.

I will provide videos later on as I am waiting for clear sky to record impressive videos.

Aerobird-3 is flying very well, especially I surprized with climbing capability.
I am using all stock hardware so far, although I started thinking that Axi-2212/26 + THUNDER POWER 910mAh LiPo is a good upgrate, which can safe me about 80g on the battery and about 15g on motor.
Total savings ~95g ... no bad for 450g plane.
The main reason to consider upgrate is not about adding power, but about reducing weight.
The goal is to reduce fligh speed as much as possible (I like slow flyers).
Unfortunately the current speed of Aerbird-3 is about 20mph, which doesn't look enjoyable to me :-)
In the future my plan is to replace the wing by one with thicker profile with more lift at slower speed.
Prop has to be replace as well for higher efficiency at slower speed.

It's rain in Toronto right now, but I hope this weekend I may have a chance to fly in this park:

Thanks for your interest.

Amazing Video: Avoiding mid air collizion with Boeing-737.

Aerial video recording captured amazing footage of Aerobird-3 crash as a result of sharp maneuver in order to avoid mid air collizion with 160 tons Boeing.

Aerobird wings collapsed in a sharp maneuver with dead spiral fall as a result.

Fortunately nobody get hurt.

The second camera from the surface was shooting Aerobird-3 flight up to the point of dead spiral fall with collapsed wings.

. . . . . . . . . . . .

Yeah, I saw that, nuts man. Have you considered brushless/lipo for the plane (more runtimes)??? That is a cool idea to take a plane and mount a cam on it. Guess you get some amazing footage in flight.

I am preparing my Aerobird-3 for high altitude flight with 910mA LiPo and Axi-2212/26 blushless.

Also:

1- ailerons have been added with gyro control:

2- Altimeter has been added as well to remove any doubts about flight altitude:
