I stayed with the supplied hinges, they seem to work fine....I was thinking the same thing you were and thought...."Don't need to make those holes any bigger than they already are"...

Sam that is a 12x7 prop. She has not flown yet, still a little concerned about C.G point.

simply looks too good to let go off the ground......................

first few flights must be nerve wracking!

I love this babe more and more every time i look at it - i hope i am not dissapointed when i finally get to order and see it for myself

does it actually look this real?!?

This is my 3rd CmPro Cessna and with out a doubt the best one yet.They all have been very good flying airplanes, the only issue was slowing them down for landings, which is why I love the flaps on this new one.(Great Job CMP)

Can they be flown slow scale in a stable way

can they be flown really slow on part flap?

Tracon,

I've never installed a lighting system before. How do you attach the bulbs themselves to the various openings in the plane? Forgive me if that's a dumb question.

Anyone know if a Magun RFS52 will be enough pwer for this aircraft. I just ordered the plane a few days ago and would like to put that magnum 4 stroke in it.

Ouch!

The CMP Cessna is not a light plane, and you would be effectively putting in a rather low power engine.

It's akin to putting in a 2C .32, while the plane calls for a 2C .46 or larger.

Mine is electric....came in quite heavy 9 lbs 9 oz !

She flies awesome though !

I just recieved my Cessna yesterday from Jet Hobbies and it arrived with no damage. I had high expectations for this model as I have seen the photos of this plane and I also own the 50cc extra 330 from CMP and it is also a very nice looking plane. I can say without a doubt that this is the most scale and best looking arf I own and I have some good ones ie. GP Patty Wagstaff and Christen eagle.
I have purchased an OS FS70 surpass(will be mounting inverted) for it and I will be getting a 3-blade 2.25" truturn spinner for it. After reading this thread I think I will also pick up the robart nose wheel strut for it as well. I like some of the lights some of you guys have installed but unless I can find a nice light kit I don't think I will take the time to fab up my own set. I weighed everything in the box and it was about 6.5lbs so the plane willcome in quite heavy at about 9lbs but I guess thats the price you pay for such an accurate scale plane. I am really looking forward to building and flying this plane this season.

Hi Guys,
Your planes look really nice. I bought the .52 size Skylane from NitroPlanes last month on clearance for $79. It seems to be a different version. The controll surfaces do not have the ridge details. The wing center section seems wider. The wing tips are covered balsa. The fuse looks the same except that there is no black paint in the windshield area. All in all it looks pretty nice for the price. Anyone else have this version? I have a Magnum 80 4c I was thinking of using. I am thinking the added weight might be good but is it too much power?

What size prop are you turning. im worried about ground clearance. Im planning on using an E Flite Power 46 with 4s 5000.
