I HAVE FUJI 24CC BT, ONLY 1 GALLON FOR BREAK IN, I CAN`T FIND THE SETTING OF LOW SPEED, THE LESS I CAN GET OF RPM ARE 2500-2800 WHEN THE USER MANUAL SAID 1,200 RPM, LESS, TURN OFF THE ENGINE, THE ENGINE STOPS WHEN THE THROTTLE IS MOVED FROM HIGH TO LOW, IF I CLOSE MORE THE LOW NEEDLE DON`T WANT TO TURN ON IN EASY WAY. WITHOUT THE COWL THE ENGINE RUN GOODS, WITH THE COWL, THE TEMPERATURE OF THE ENGINE IS VERY HIGH AND DON`T WORK GOOD, IS MORE EASY TO TURN OFF WITH THE THROTTLE IS FROM HIGH TO LOW. SO MY PROBLEMS ARE THE SETTING OF THE LOW RPM AND THE HIGH TEMP WITH THE COWL. I HOPE THAT SOMEONE HELP ME, BECOUSE I WAS THINKING SERIOUSLY TO CHANGE ENGINE, I DON“T WANT TO RISK MY PLANE FOR FUJI ENGINE PROBLEMS...

REGARDS

You can start out with both high and low-speed needles at 1-1/2 turns out from closed. You must adjust them from that point. Get the engine adjusted for full-throttle running first, then adjust for the idle.

If your engine runs too hot with the cowl on, then the cowl is not allowing enough air to flow through the fins of the cylinder. That is not an engine problem, but an airplane problem. You may have to make baffles to direct the air through the engine fins.

THANKS BILL

THE TRUE IS THAT THE ENGINE IS VERY HOT WITHOUT THE COWL TOO, THE TEMPERATURE IS TO HIGH THAT YOU CAN TOUCH THE SPINNER...

What oil and oil mixture ratio are you using? That would also contribute if there's not enough oil in the fuel mixture.

You can try running the engine richer on both needles. Also, use a propeller that will allow full-throttle RPM of about 7,000-8,000 or so.

10K RPM would be considered rather high.
