Hi. I have 1/18th minis and 1/10th vehicles with separate batteries. I'm wondering if I can use the 1/18th batteries in teh 1/10th cars. I know the mah ratings are considerably lower, but I'd like some versatility in my batteries. All of my batteries are Dean plugged and I've used the 18th batts on the 10th vehicles just so see if they work and they do. I'm just wondering if there's a reason I should not do this... such as overly high draw or something else I'm unaware of.
Thanks

You got it "overly high draw" Most 1/10 scales will be too much for an 1/18 battery. However if you have some low speed 1/10 models they will do just fine on a decent 1/18 battery.

I have a couple of 1/10 models with small batts. One is a tamiya lunchbox that is dog slow from factory and it does just fine on a 2/3A 1100 battery. My others is a 1/10 scale truck and it's not slow, but uses double voltage so the current is cut in half. One other is a 1/10 scale truck and it's current draw is cut in half as well because the lipos are parallelled so I get away with small batts there too.
