Ive been looking into getting into racing agian at my LHS but the only problem is I dont have anything to race with. Ive only had one touring car in my life and that was a t-spec which was ok nothing special. I am not looking to spend alot. I think Ill try this out for a change.

Its called the Xpress Mini Road Runner 2.

It comes with the following upgrades.
1. CF Chassis
2. Aluminum Bulkheads
3. Belt Driven
4. Aluminum Shocks
5. Aluminum motor mount
6. 4wd
7. Very low cg
8. Delrin Gears
9. CVD'S
10. Adjustable shock mounting positions

All toghether it costs $125 + $20 shipping.

And the list goes on.
Should I go for it? If I do it wont be for awhile and if and when I do I'll do a review on for you guys.[:D]

I just doesn't say "quality" to me. The front end linkage set up just looks odd to me.

Remember If I buy something it wont stay stock for more than a week. If there are any weak points on the car I'll be sure to upgrade it as soon as possible.

If you really want to race you are going to need access to replacement parts. Xpress is not a brand many stores carry. You could get a Cyclone S for the same price from Ultimate Hobbies.

As long as there are places to get replacment parts for it then Im ok with getting the MRR2 because Im not in a rush to get them.

I was just playing devils advocate. I was thinking of buying a Robitronic Avid touring car, I was going to gamble over $400 on parts availability. That didn't pan out. I got a slightly used XRay T2R off ebay, I just can't wait to get it. I found a shop that is within spitting distance of my house to get XRay parts from.

Now Im all hyped to get it and put a nice setup in it. Im thinking Novak Cyclone TC2 with a Checkpoint Hara 7t 6 cell O/R motor. IB4200 6cell would be the batteries I use and trust Hitec 5645mg digital servo. 75mhz am radio maybe 2pl.
LOL I dont know what want yet.[:D]

I know what you mean about not knowing what you want. I was waffling like IHOP on which car I was going to buy. I actually have a Cyclone S on its way to my house. Now I'm going to turn around and send it back because I got the XRay. Sometimes choices can be a bad thing.

Yeah at first it was between a TC4, Cylone and a MRR2. I just like the mrr2 because of all the extra stuff you get on it. Im willing to take a gamble on it.[:D]

I have a TC4 (started as a RTR), I had a XXX-S G+, and now I will have the XRay. I got rid of the XXX-S as it just didn't feel right when I drove it. I decided to try a newer belt drive platform, the Cyclone, then I got the XRay. I hope the XRay changes my feelings on belt drives, the XXX-S just didn't do it for me. If not I guess I'll be driving a shaft powered car.

Have you tried the traxxas 4-tec? Thats belt driven and way underated!

That might help, and I did read the thread before trying to correct somebody.
You'd be better off with a real car, new or used than that. And why get that car if you plan to put that N60 in there. Do you really think the drivetrain can handle that? But hey, you get what you pay for.

Yeah man I rather get something that is race proven and has good part support. The car looks like it has some quality but in the long term it might not be worth it because when you break parts you are going to have to wait for parts to come from Hong Kong and waiting for parts from Rcmart.com ain't that much fun. Hey its your choice, if you want to get it then get it is all up to you. Just think about it before purchasing this.

Takedown here is what I think the whole thing boils down to. We buy and run RC to have fun, if you buy the Xpress and have fun with it thats cool, but if you break something then the fun has to stop while you wait two weeks for parts. Why would you put your fun leisure time pursuit on hold? I try to spend time running my cars not waiting on parts. Just my thoughs on the subject.
