I tried to get the manufacturers names in the pics when possible which usually wasn't easy (or possible) but in this case I don't remember who was showing this...maybe KingAir can recall who or another WRAM goer from today...

NAME THAT PLANE!!!!

mav, thats a plans built model pitts 12 I believe, they also have a laser cut wood kit.If you go to www.wram.org and click on vendors, the companies name I believe is big models or si,I'm not sure. But they have videos of it one their websit. Also,I dont know if you ever seen Eddie A's superhawk biplane,It's a design thats been around for a few years.I bought the planes about 5 years ago, looked at them and put them away.Anyway,he has one there all built. What a beautiful airplane.I placed an order for one since he is now cutting kits for them. The show price was $60,that included everything, fiberglass cowl, pants ,all the flying wires, landing gear struts and so forth.I think the normal price is $525.If your looking for a big bipe, check this one out if you can.

the website for the pitts is www.bigairplanes.com

Did you get the scoop on this airplane Marc? What covering? Fiberglass cowl and wheel pants? Retracts and good? What did ya find out?

It looks like they have the red airplane too... I wouldn't mind either of them.

Uhhhh....it looked cool

It was a built up wing with a thin layer of foam sheeting which was then covered with some kind of covering (not sure what). No wheel pants on the one I saw as it was retracts which they sell for $49 bucks I think (well worth it for this model).

They make a special muffler which fits a few of the popular motors in the recommended size range so everything is completely hidden and the exhaust is routed down the bottom of the cowl through a small hole. Nice touch.

they also have the dago red I believe which was also nice.
