WooHoo! Congratulations! Even when I can keep from crashing by stupidity, it seems some failure will cause a crash before that much time has elapsed.

now i never said its not been crashed, dorked a few times, tore a float off once. a boat swamped it once, he got ass kicked bad. But all in all it been a pretty rugged plane. third motor on it, a couple of cowls, one wing got a ft removed in a mid air. Its been interesting. I should retire it, but im still having way to much fun, see ya thaks for writting

That is incredible! I have a .25 cub on floats which I took out of service after thirty flights for fear of destroying it. It was my first kit I ever built and the plane I learned to fly with. You've encouraged me to put it back in service. So Hanko, looks like your running some kind of a twin in that twenty year old cub. Must be a great flier. Looks very scale. I'm sure there's a lot more flights left in the old girl.

2500 flights? Wow...your lakeside neighbours must like model airplanes as much as you do! I fly a 1/4 scale Cub as smoothly and as quietly as possible at our cottage lake in the summer and I haven't heard a complaint yet. The 1/3 BUSA Cub must be delightful on floats. I recently flew a Cub like yours on wheels and it was quite a step up from my 13 lb Cub. 2500 flights on one model, that's very cool!

thanks for all the replys fellows, the engine is a D&B 3.7 twin which got installed over the winter. I first flew with a 50 cc quadra, which I might add didnt have a lot of balls for a 40 lb airplane on floats. Back in Id say 1990, I came a cross a Schacs dolmar 3.7 single which has flown most of the flights. This twin is the way to go, very smooth and easy starting. I recently went with new futaba 2.4 gig radio which is glitch free and works flawlessly. If any of you are in michigan your all welcome to fly here on lake chemung, howell mi. I did have a pilot, still do, but he usually watches now

Thats quite a running on the ole cub! Congrats! Whats more impressive is that you have kept up with the counting over twenty years! So, how do you keep a running total on flights? Logbook, scratch mark on the tree? We have to know! Looks like you are having fun.....Take Care

I keep a log, as i do for all my other planes, I might be off by a few, or maybe even over. I live on a lake so having to drive to the flying field isnt an issue. I generally leave it assembled on the deck which is covered. So a couple of flights every night isnt unusual. Ive actually done close to 50 this week as im on vacation. I bent a strut last nigtht so its just out of the workshop in this photo. Like the big planes, floats are maintanance hogs. Its allways something. If you notice in the photo, ive made extra bracing up frony and also a wooden dowel hepls transfer some of the load to the rear gear mounts. Its still a very weak set up. Scale, but weak

in case anyone was wondering what the wooden structure on top of the cabin is, it attatches to the blind nuts thaqt hold the wings. I have pulleys in the celing so I can lift the whole airplane which makes fixing **** easy
