Status: offline 		Who can tell me how the FAA treats Lasic surgery- what kind of hoops does a pilot have to jump through if he/she wants to get laser eye correction "surgery" and still keep a Class II? Any experiences to share?

Status: offline 		It won't affect your medical as long as you can pass the vision test after you have the surgery. I would get a new medical immediately before having the surgery. I've also heard of some people having problems with night vision after having lasik surgery, for this reason I will continue to wear glasses and contacts.

Status: offline 		Thanks, guys! Yeah, the night vision thing has been what is keeping me from taking the plunge, but the new custom wavefront scanning is supposed to pretty much negate that. Either way, thx for the info.
