I recently finished a OMP fusion90 and the covering job looks nice but wants to peel easy. Is there anything I can do to it keep the covering down?

Use your covering iron, get all the joints tight, then paint Clear Nail polish on the joints, cheap effective, & fuel proof. Can be thinned with acetone & cleaned up with it as well.

Status: offline 		I heard canopy glue works well. I bought a 2oz bottle of formula '56 canopy glue for 3 1/2 bucks at the LHS. I am going to try it on my current project, cheap china plane with cheap china covering...lol I plan on brushing it on all of the seems hopefully to keep them from lifting.

Status: offline 		Peel back the edges, clean off the oil and dirt with denatured alcohol. Thin some Elmers with water, about the consistancy of milk, or a little thicker, brush the glue on the non adhesive surface, let dry, then iron on the covering. Then, just clean off any glue not covered with the tacked on covering. This will only work one time, the heat causes the glue to make a bond that cannot be recreated with the same glue, so if this comes loose you will have to reapply the glue.

Status: offline 		I used the finger nail polish method on an Uproar. It did seal the trim to the other parts for a long time. BUT the soft(?) or uneven(?) finish of the nail polish attracted dirt and oil film like crazy. There was an outline of grime around all the trim before the plane bit the dirt on Memorial Day weekend (pilot error).

Status: offline 		I BOUGHT A TRAINER FROM TOWER A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. Loved the plane, hated the covering job. The first night at the field the trim started coming off. I found a solution that works for me. The covering peels because of fuel creeping under it.

I went to Wal-Mart and bought a can of their cheap paint about .97 per can in the clear color. I sprayed all the seams including the trim seams with one coat of clear. This is my second year, and it is still looking great. Nothing has started to come loose yet
