hi i have had about a years worth of flying on the e-flite cx2 and i want some think a bit more faster and more responsive i can fly the cx2 prity well but now i just want some think more responsive. i was looking at the Walkera 22e and Walkera36 i know the 22e is eseyer to fly but i want some thing that can do more stunts for when i want it. i know i will probly have to buy some upgrads but to me its better than a hole new helli as i only have a vrey small price range max of £140 i have a cuple of 11v lipos as i fly planes that should fit in the Walkera 36 as batters are not a problem wot do you guys thing

From personal experience I would say not to get the 22e. It is responsive, but it is not easy to fly. It is pretty twitchy, but is fun. The main reason I would steer you away is the amount of down time my 22e has had. I have spent a decent amount of time fixing it, and it still isn't quite right. My Falcon 3d on the other hand has worked fine, has been reliable and I have only needed to replace a $3 tail rotor shaft. On the 22e I have replaced the receiver, transmitter, and tail motor due to failure, and have replaced the rotor blades and various head linkage bits due to ground/helicopter interaction.

I don't know about the 36, but I have learned through my own experience as well as others to be wary of Walkera products. I am not saying to not get a Walkera product (the electronics are the only iffy part to me), just voicing my own opinion/experience. I would say based on your budget, you might want to research and consider a Falcon 3d. Good luck...

RTF is problematic, but cost effective..... I have 60, and its supposed to fly similiar to the 36... some even prefer the plastic frame of the 36.... but really, if you plan to upgrade all the parts... why not just get a TREX SA?

well i want some think in the £150 price range to start rtf or artf as long at it dont go over £150 ill be ok and i would not be upgrading the parts stright away after a few mounths i want some think thats enjoyable and esey to fly that when i want can fly inverted for example if i did get the TREX SA what radio would i need. i looked at the Falcon 3d looks very nice but just to expensive i can get the Walkera 36 for £110 and maby a few new servos from what i have read and also do you guys think its worth getting the walkera 36 and later on getting the GY401 gyro (i would get the brushless set up when i buy it ) thanks karl

No. 60 is better as it come with separated electronics, not all in one. Check these pictures

I wasted my money on a Walkera 36. Don't do it man! Save your money and buy what you need. Get a DX7 MicroLite Heli version with 3 x DS285 servos = 330 shipped. Get a Futaba GY401 gyro and 9650 tail servo (Wait for sell at towerhobbies and use coupon). Slap it all on to this:

Sherman Tank

I have crash 6 times and replaced nothing more the rotor blades and flybars.

I can only comment on the 36 as I don't have a 60, but it's been a pretty good heli for me and is super easy to fly. The downside to any Walkera is going to be shoddy electronics (mainly the receiver and servos). If you go with either the 36 or 60, I would get either a barebones or basic RTF and immediately replace at least the receiver. Of course then you will also need a new transmitter...you can pick up something like a used Futaba 6EXH on eBay for under $80 (I got mine for less than $60). Also, these helis won't fly without a brushless motor and ESC...there's another $60. By the time you get done, the cost of the heli and upgrades is going to set you back about $300. The only cheaper way into helis is to get something that's a 300 class like the 22E or the fixed pitch #4 (both of which will fly without a brushless).

You should keep on saving and get a T-rex or one of the many clones available. It will be a lot or what seems like a lot of money to out lay but it the end it will work out cheaper and if you are keen on this hobby (your second heli you should be) you will end up with something like a T-rex eventually. Of course the T-rex doesn't have to be a bling bling SE V2, an SA is just as capable for the average pilot.
