Here are some pics of my first attempt at a multi color body. I used 3M painters tape (the blue one) and did not really like the results. I made sure that the tape was on their good and that all the edges were flat but I still did not get a sharp clean line. Some of the paint leaked under the tape and caused the lines to bleed. Anyone have something better to avoid this from happening? Maybe a different brand of tape or mask? I would appreciate any techniques or tips you might have.

thanks benisjamin I appreciate it! It took a long time being my first body and all, but it was alot of fun. Im looking forward to painting another body but I want to get a cleaner line next time without the bleeding.

Thanks again bud!

try using the green one next time. I've had better luck with the green tape than with the blue stuff. All else fails, pick up a roll of 1/4" plastic tape, it's what the big guns use for masking flames and whatnot. You can overlap it then just come back in with a hobby knife and cut the overlapped part of and it won't leak underneath anymore.

I know I have read alot of complaints about the liquid mask but we have used it and not one problem. It worked great was easy and no leakage. You just have to let it dry completely. But it worked great.
You did a good job, it looks real good.
