Hi all, the new project has started.I started off with the 72in plans and got them printed at 75%, that made the boat 54in long but very narrow and only 4.5in rails, so I added 33mm to the frames to get the rails back to 5in. So the length will be 1370mm (54in) long and 310mm(12 1/2in) wide. So far i have got a twin rudder system from Marine Specialties, Clutch and water pump on it's way from O'Neill Brothers and still undecided on the motor. It will be from RC Jets, a ZEN260PUM or a Clone BM260stage 2 mod. Both motors are $300AU. www.rcjets.com.au have a look and let me know what you recon about the 2 motors. Here are some pics.

im real curious how that BM260 runs for you. Ive been thinking of getting just the stock one (as its only like $145 US) and sticking a modded zen jug on it.

Got a bit more done today, cut all the holes in the frames and routered all the edges. I picked up this blade from the hardware for the jigsaw, its very narrow and good for cutting tight corners. A must for any workshop. Tomorrow I hope to have the frames cut from the sheet and sanded up.

ORIGINAL: STEVE MARSHALL flex ferrrel with a square drive
Hi Steve, back at it I see, the ferrule with a square drive is from Aeromarine, I used one on Sassa 3. Whilst it worked well the front edges are weak due to being so thin. I reinforced with a piece of brass tube soldered on. I thought we told you last time that the MS double rudder is heavy and the blades, due to being cast, weak...... Nice job with the wood. look forward to seeing more. I've given up on Bentley, no staying power
