Hey Pico-masters
I paid $512 for a combo packaged Piccolo with a Nova 6 radio....having owned a Piccolo in the past i am familiar with this heli-----well this new one seems buggy- the servos are moving erractically and the tail kicks in sporadically- I have yet to fly it as it doesn't respond to the radio....anyone know what's going on?
I'm 100000% percent all the wires are hooked up correctly (been in the hobby for 15+ years).....this thing is a total abortion......tell me i've done something wrong or missed something- anyone familiar with this "cheap" Nova 6 radio (looks like it's worth about 5 bucks)......times like this make me remember why I got out of the r/c hobby.....and to think I have a Fury on the way......something's telling me i'm wasting money here!
Anyone have a solution?

What type receiver do you have? How is the Antenna installed? Can you post a picture of the setup........i.e. location of all components?

sounds like a crystal &/or receiver problem. could be the wrong crystal or the shift on the receiver is set wrong. most micro receivers take single conversion crystals, HOPEFULLY if it came as a package this would have been set up already but not necessarily.

Problem is- what can I do? $500+ later I have a non-functioning helicopter and no real avenues to pursue- I don't want to spend another dime to get this thing working....I don't think the radio, batts and charger were worth the extra "Combo" price- you'll get better batts and charger if bought seperately...this is one time I wish I had NOT bought the heli.....if my LHS can rectify the problem I'll be satisfied- but I have a feeling I'm gonna be sitting waiting for parts that should have been matched at the factory...
..just more frustration added to what's supposed to be a hobby.....a little more of this frustration- and I'm out for good..this is supposed to be fun- not a hassel.
(Not trying to sound so down- but you guys know how it feels to pay good money for stuff and feel ripped off when stuff is not right at the factory and you have no means of proving anything- you fight a losing battle- of which the customer looses most of the time)
PS- Is there a way to change shifts on the RX- I have a Fut 9CH on ch 48- perhaps I can try using it with this RX unit?
