Hey guys, I have a Zenoah G-23 sitting on the shelf needing a bird, preferably a war bird. Gonna send it to Ralph to get it customized.
Also it needs to be an ARF, I just don't have time to build right now.

Good luck! Any warbird that the G-23 will fit into would have to have the cowl really butchered up or oversized and underpowered. There are lots of small gas engines that are compact enough to fit into fully enclosed cowls of the smaller warbirds.

http://www.vaillyaviation.com/Intro.html Look at athe 1/5th scale L-19/0-1 bird dog from Vailey Aviation, still a warbird but also a nice weekend flyer.

The G23 fits the CMP F4U Corsair (90 size) nicely. I also plan to try one in the CMP P47.

you might also look at the cmp hellcat, I have one with a toro 25 cc, using flywheel and magneto..flies great at 10.5 pounds....there is a HUGE thread on the hellcat in the warbird area here , unlimited info..that cmp corsair looks fun posted above as well...I am pretty sure the cmp fw 190 would fly well also....

I have just finished my CMP Zero 120 with a G23. Swinging a MA 16X6 up to 8200, the flight is spectacular - smooth, fast or slow. I also used a GP soft mount. The weight of the G23 and the soft mount balanced my Zero at the rearmost point. I can't imagine why anyone would want a lighter engine in a warbird.

I also bought a CMP Hellcat but ended up selling it NIB. Compared to the Zero, the Hellcat is substandard in quality AND design. Don't know how that happened - different designers maybe?

This is my very first warbird. The experience is so positive that it makes me forward to buying my next one. At present, I am waiting for the KMP Bearcat to come out in August. Come on Christmas!

The G-23 will fit the KMP Stuka or Typhoon with room to spare.

Richard it's funny you mention the KMP Stuka, I have been salivating over that one for a while. A real nice large warbird without retracts. Thanks

Yep the Stuka is a much better plane. Just don`t get the L19 Bird Dog. Its NOT a Sunday flyer. May look like it but its not. The Take off on the L19s are not easy and flying around you bet not fall asleep for a sec . Especially the vailly Bird Dog.
