To all those of you who are running a DZ, the foam clunk that comes with the engine -- are you guys using anthing else to keep the clunk at the bottom of the tank. I was thinking of may'be using a fuel fuel filter somewhere close to the clunk to help it stay submerged. Your comments would be appreciated and I am sure helpful.

Thanks

It works fine as it is. Sucks fuel to the last drop. No need to make mods.

It gets pretty soaked with fuel and seems to have no problem remaining submerged. Works like a charm on its own.

As Chad and Nedim said......

The foam clunk swells up to about 2X size and gets soaked in fuel...This keeps the weight enough to not be an issue.

You can actually run a std clunk....the only issue is when the tank gets about 1/2 way doing high G stuff the clunk could pick up an air bubble and the engine will surge. As it stands with the foam clunk you can run down to about 1-2ozs left in the tank before a high G pull will casue the motor to suck that air bubble up....The motor will surge a bit and this will let you know its time to get ready to land.....I flew today and ran the tank nearly dry every time....I'm getting between 12 1/2 and 14 mins of flight time depending on what stuf I'm practicing.
